  1. After looking at it further, I believe it sold for the $25k buy it price. It's funny, when I looked on my phone, it had a best offer on it vs. on my laptop. Seller did reject a $23,900 offer so I would think he was firm on price.
  2. When I first started diving into collecting GA books, Bats 1 was never on my radar on must haves solely due to Robin on the cover and it just didnt do it for me. Cover is bland.. After talking to collectors, dealers, and reading the boards it started to grow on me and the fact that it is the 1st app of Joker, which is HUGE!!! I cant think of any bigger DC villain than Joker.. Also, #1 helped too! So ya, even if there are so many copies floating around compared to other major GA keys, I have much respect and love for Bat 1.
  3. Only the one doing the pressing will know more or less if the benefits outweigh the risks involved. Even if pages are supple there is always a risk. Pressing is not 100% safe. Mistakes can always happen. I'm sure most folks on here including myself have heard horror stories of bad pressing. Still, a very nice book and one anyone would be happy to own including myself.
  4. The Ebay 5.5 copy was a buy it now/best offer, wondering if an offer was accepted instead.
  5. I dont think it's that simple.. theres a chance it would pop the top staple out, and top staple is rusted. Not sure if there is still a bottom staple as I dont see it. Also possible that spine could split. There's a lot to consider.
  6. Let's not forget about the C-Link copy in the exchange that sold for what was it.. $95k a CGC 2.5 back in March?
  7. I think it went too high to begin with, so coming back to reality.. There's like around 4-5 overpriced copies up on ebay as we speak. Seems to be readily available
  8. Just $65!? No wonder it sold fast... in a flash!
  9. It was an exceptional looking 6.0 deserving of a CVA sticker
  10. I think the only people who submit to PGX are the ones that already know their books had been restored and/or trimmed to get a "blue label"
  11. If I had a 9.8, I would continually press it until it grades out a 9.9 or 10!!
  12. In the video when the buyer was showing off the book, you can already tell practically where the color touches were. They stick out like a sore thumb!! I was surprised that he didnt see them after what an hour going over the book at the store.
  13. No one is really wrong with their guesses, not saying I am 100% right as long as nobody grades it like an 8.0 or something Yes, there is a huge piece missing on the front cover which is a distraction and can sometimes lead one to automatically give it a much lower grade without looking at the book as a whole including the back cover. I'd say the bottom half of the book (front and back) looks high grade in the VFish range, the top half is where all the problems are including the stains. But yeah, I am sticking with my guess.
  14. Did you guys read the statement from All about Comics at the bottom of the article?
  15. 5.0 for me. Im digging the date stamps too! Both books definitely worth grading to make sure everything is 100% original also.
  16. I'm gonna guess a 3.0. The spine looks great as well as the edges, moreso than the Heritage 3.0 copy. I don't see why it cant grade the same.
  17. For now it may seem that way, but we'll see long term how each book performs.
