even though the only reason the Hulk piece is in discussion was because Wolverine showed up in it? Wolverine could have shown up in Mr. Nobody #181 and it might have the same effect! Malvin

I think the thread is a great idea. People just have not seen those images. I'll continue the thread by re-mentioning some of my mystery items. I think I have asked about all of them before with no real answers. First is this Gary Frank Batman - I actually asked Gary Frank. He does not remember, but he doesn't think it was a fan commission so it was published somewhere. Previous speculations include a comic industry publication (e.g. Wizard) or a convention program guide. Either way, no one knows Next is a Hitch JLA piece. I asked him and he said he did it for DC Licensing but he has no clue where it was used Finally is this Punisher Style guide. Unsigned. Looks professionally drawn (I think). There certainly is a lot of detail int he face. But anyone recognize the style and can determine the artist? Good luck to everyone looking for info on their art! Malvin

I'm ok with that too. One of my earliest best pieces was the first published Bisley Lobo piece that was likely marker. CAF Link I initially had the original framed up but decided to replace it due to fear of fading. Of course now that I don't have anything framed up, the framed copy is stored. Malvin

Not directly for me, but certainly many things are hot and then are not. One example is any artwork related to the Heroes TV show. I think they have not gone to Zero due to Tim Sale, but they have certainly declined, and if the main artist wasn't someone like Tim Sale, I bet you they would really be down in the dregs. Malvin

yeah, 5-20% as a general rule seems about right. It really depends and sometimes there is no logic. Like the rest of the hobby! Malvin
