  1. Cool Here's another http://www.comiclink.com/Auctions/item.asp?id=882935 Date stamped Focussed auction starts tonight
  2. Another PLOD cracked to sell? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120707293044&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123#ht_500wt_1156
  3. Wow, the new movie trailer looks AMAZING! Yay DC
  4. We've missed you Wow! The upward trend resumes
  5. Good advice Indeed (thumbs u I agree with Flash105. I don't know why ebay is ignoring the comic guys, when they make an ungodly amount of money from us. I have the same problem with Heritage searches, I get want-list alerts for the same books emailed to me a dozen times prior to the event auction they're in. Sadly, as a result I put them on "ignore"
  6. Thanks Nik. Caught it on the rebound, so to speak You did real good, sir! Maybe The market is real fluid - highs and lows happening daily
  7. Which 5.5 are we talking about? Clink auction $3400 . . . or $300 less than the 5.0 I just bought Hey, it's only money
  8. Thanks Nik. Caught it on the rebound, so to speak I'm afraid to look, what'd it close at Never mind, I looked - Aye Carumba, I mean greaaaaaat
  9. As long as it isn't restored, it shouldn't be much of a gamble That price is what 3.5s have been selling for I agree (thumbs u As long as it isn't restored, it shouldn't be much of a gamble That price is what 3.5s have been selling for Last month, in comic link, Two 4.5 sold for around 2800$ . . . and if I recall correctly, they sold pretty quickly. I think there might have been more money to be made if those had been around longer. If there's no restoration on that SC #4, it looks like a 3.5 at least. possibly a 4.0 if the spine is better than it appears in the photos. They are a little blurry to be sure. But IMHO it's possible both buyer and seller did ok @ $2800. Man, was I ever WAY-OFF. Further proof that "thar's (still) gold to be found in them thar' hills" (i.e. ebay)! Ciorac called this one right. A good buy!
  10. here's the same book also listed on ebay by collectors_comics http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320675811382&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1123#ht_4567wt_1141
  11. I never got around to posting photos of the CGC Old-style label 5.0 CR I bought a few weeks back. Finally got to shoot it last night. Used my wife's digital camera, a lot better results than with the scanner.
  12. Nice detective work (thumbs u I guess it worked out very well for the buyer.
  13. Yeah, it really kept the price down didn't it
  14. Good catch (thumbs u Hey, I think I speak for many when I say we appreciate the work that goes into this list, it ain't like you get paid to do this.
  15. Any idea if it was submitted as a review or a resub?
  16. Wow. That was fast $1500 south of recent asking prices for copies in this grade. A trend or an anomaly? Well, as I recall, this is the same copy. 6.0 crm/ow Comiclink 8/25/10 $4060 Prices are volatile...but since there was a buyer at $4500, there is support and demand. (thumbs u But the PQ on this copy is Off-White? As I recalled, this is the same copy...it got regraded. (thumbs u If you recall, was the book in an old label? so, unless the original buyer was Josh, it was a $ loser even with the PQ bump. How do you figure
  17. I see. A lot of that going on these days

  19. . . . and a Crippen, no less! That's an absolutely spectacular cover! Congrads man, that is one great book (thumbs u

  21. No I did not bid on it. Strong price. I was a "playa" until about the midway point, then I stepped aside and let the folks with the budget for this book do their thing unfettered by wanna-be's. It's really starting to look like that Savannah 6.0 was a bit of a deal. I dropped out of that game because I figured it'd go too high for the grade (being a popular new ped). But seeing what this 8.0 went for (almost triple what the 6.0 Savannah sold for) maybe that was my best shot. I have mention somewhere in the club that the FMV of a 6.0 is around $7-8K, perhaps a bit higher now. Yeah, the Savannah would done well for you. , but there will be another. The Savannah 6.0 actually sold for less than the last sale of a SC #4 6.0 on GPA. Dec-02-2010 $9,995 Cert# 063509800

  23. That`s a really good price for a 8.0. and that's a 40% jump from the last recorded GPA in 2006. It`s official! Showcase #4 is HOT!!!! Great as always, my timing is impeccable.
  24. Lots of new books hitting ebay. There's a 6.0 CR/OW for $6k, and a raw 4.5 by bijoubaby05. Getting close to the movie release date, are we going to see things heat up
  25. Okey, thanks. I got worried there was yet another. I recall there's that 8.5 Mohawk copy, the one for $75k
