Sqeggs
There is a cgc 8.0 (Lloyd Jacquet copy) and a 7.0 that came from the 6th St. collection. Alas, the best I can do on that one.
Robot Man
Here's mine again. Lower grade but I am just stoked to have one at all. One of my most favorite books in my collection. Could this book be pressed?
sagii
Double WOWZERS guys, both beautiful examples of a VERY TOUGH book. Regret selling my PLOD 2.5 about five or so years ago on the 'Bay.

Could this book be pressed? I believe pressing would improve the look of it. Some of the surface dirt might also be safely removed.
Ricksneatstuff
Great examples of a very tough book. I actually think the highest copy of this would sell for more than the highest CL 25.
Junkdrawer
I could imagine some little kid sneaking that book past mom. Best spent $.25 lad. Edit: I take it that there wasn't too much success getting past mom with this book. Edited January 25, 2017 by Junkdrawer
Robot Man
Once my mom caught me with one of my uncle's ECs. She tore it up and warned me about bring stuff like that into the house. So I obeyed her and kept the rest in a box in the tree house. I was a sneaky kid and managed to get stuff in the house and hid it well. Key was not to get caught reading it when she was around or awake. As far as this book goes, I doubt very many boys bought romance comics or paid a quarter for them. This book was probably aimed at an older female audience.

Robot Man
Don't spank me because they aren't romance, but I have to say Matt did some just wonderful crime work. These have been overlooked for quite a while but not any more.

Robot Man
He also did some great work in horror and jungle titles. Hard to beat Matt Baker no matter what he did. Here are a couple more. I think I am only missing a couple of these.

jimjum12
Not to drift too far off topic..... but is it just me, or does St John have just the coolest logo ever ?...... I like getting their books even when they aren't the Baker ones. It always seemed to me that they made a serious effort to avoid being just another hack shop....and while their claim to fame is mostly Baker and Kubert, most of their output was pretty decent. Tri-Color Brian
And this one is one of my favorite Baker covers! Those are in pretty good shape for you Bob. Are you sure you aren't the one who borrowed MY APCs awhile back and forgot to return them?
Robot Man
Most of my APCs are in similar shape Brian. I got 'em back when they were cheap. Sadly, that ship has sailed on these great Baker books.
