I think it was idiotic to put them up in one lot...but gpa has 9.6s at $300 per and 9.4s at $150 per...that is $1200 right there with the other ones as extra gravy. No idea why he wouldn't just piece them out. He clearly made money if he bought them a few years ago.

Hell, flipping the 9.4s from last year would make pretty good money. The 9.6 hasn't really climbed as much as the 9.4s did, though.

Those are all this year's prices off eBay auctions. That $202.50 was the highest I've seen yet for the 9.4 (which came right after the Super Bowl trailer). I think I've seen the 9.6 at higher, though, but not by a whole lot. He wasn't the brightest trying to corner the market.

Once the movie is done then I will purchase one eventually. I already dislike half the outfits for the characters and I think the moview will be ok but not great. Then I will try and get myself a 9.0-9.2 one once the prices lower and most likely raw since I want to read it lol .

The market is getting flooded, collectors a grading these like crazy with plans of unloading them and making big profits. After the movie hype dies down simple supply and demand should make a lot more of these available then is needed. Then buyers should be able to buy them at much more reasonable prices..

Pretty easy (and cheap) to pick up a second/third printing if you want a reader and are skipping the trade reprints.

Well issue 21 does not have much "reading" to it. But I did find a issue 26 and 27 in back issue stock Saturday that had a low price. Actually I do not think the dealer was aware of what I was buying, when I got home realized I bought a double, oh well I might go back and buy his # 21 for 20 bucks though, maybe try to talk him lower.

For issues 26 and 27, I have some with the upc and some with the black spidey head on the cover. I know for issue 21, the black spidey is the 3rd print. I don't see anything in the indica on them and wanted to double check. What printing's are those?

as long as there is nothing in the indica to indicate otherwise, they are first prints

Can't wait to get my (original series) GI Joe #2 CGC SS 9.8, signed by Herb Trimpe back. It should be on its way back from CGC soon. Only CGC SS in 9.8 and highest graded.
