Thanks guys!

Here's a bit more . . . I couldn't meet Larry Hama without getting some sketches . . . (sorry for the glare).

First up, from 2010, Snake Eyes:

And then, from last year, Storm Shadow in his Joe garb:

I also have a quite a few raw books signed by Larry--#1, #26, Yearbook #3 and so on--nothing that hasn't been seen before. Then there's this, which I'm thinking may be a bit more unique:

Also had a great little chat with him about it as he flipped through it--it's the same edition (albeit his is older, he commented) that he used/uses. I thought it was very cool of him to sign it.

It's been said before, but it's always worth getting something signed by Larry and hearing one his stories.

Plucked a G. I. Joe Special #1 from a large collection I have been going through. The book has a serious shot at 9.9 and I am sending it express tomorrow. It's a 9.8 all day long, but I need to roll the dice. I can't wait 5 months on this. :wishluck:

Anyone dare to throw out a figure on what a 9.9 could be worth today, considering that there aren't any yet to exist?

Hi, guys. Why is GI Joe vol. 1 #126 in the $10 market? Is it a key issue for Firefly?

Yes. It's the issue they officially connect him to the Snake-Eyes/Storm Shadow origin.

Firefly was a member of their ninja clan and was originally suppose to kill Snake-Eyes for Cobra Commander. It's revealed that Firefly is the "Faceless Master" who had been referenced before in the series. (thumbs u

That I don't know for sure, but I don't think there was a 2nd printing.

Here is a listing of all the Marvel G.I. Joe Second Printings: 2,6,7,8,10,11,12,14,17,18,19,21,23,25,26,27,29,30,34,35,36,37,38,49,51,52,53,55,63,64

Listing of the Third Printings:

21,29,63

There were 2nd printings (or variant copies printed months after the originals if people would rather call them that) of 3, 4, & 5 as well but no one seems to want to acknowledge them as such....

126 is hard to find in 9.8 as well, it was one of the last issues I was able to get me hands on!

I missed those issues. Not a fan of the entire slabbing, can't ever read it.

Thanks for that, I just bought this from a fellow collector for 250php so that's around $6-$7. I'll get a scan of it when I get it.I'll probably jump into the G.I. Joe band wagon. Weee. :cloud9:

It's a newstand copy, so it does exist.

Can someone teach me how to spot a 2nd printing? Someone told me it's an indicia on the first page or something?

Most of the 2nd printings will have a different price. Earlier issues that were 60 cents will have the 75 cents price. On later issues, I know on the direct editions, the 1st print has the "M" with the price/issue number while the later printings have the standard box.

The indicia inside is always the best place to look. (thumbs u

+1

Also, some of the books have regular Spiderman (1st print) vs black Spiderman (2nd print), but be careful as the Spidey thing doesn't always work.
