Hmmm - time to prgram TIVO to get a Season pass with reruns to GHOST WHISPERER!

You are a wise old man.

Indeed - when it comes to things I can set right when the cleaners call me to say I will be delayed due to error code 3879 - well - it IS kind of red.

Actually, forget about all this...it's totally futile.

The fact that you cannot see what you might have done wrong is even more worrying than what you actually did. :(

Pretty much spot on with both sentiments here Nick. (thumbs u

I disagree. It isn't totally futile. Perhaps someone else will learn for the thread. This is no sillier than the round rosies we go through in the pressing threads.

Stephen is young. He tries very hard to be taken seriously and he should be. I know that sometimes in the desire to win the argument, the principle gets lost in the milieu.

I hope he sees this as a learning experience and understands how maybe better to apply himself in the future and listen to advice tendered by friends a little more closely.

i think you may have misused a word in here.

if so, accept my forgiveness in advance. if not, then my apologies. six in one

I did check the definition, but I could have been mistaken. If I am wrong, I freely admit it and will try my best to be more studious in the future. :)

i did enjoy said usage, right or wrong, so even in the worst case it isn't a total loss, my tennneeessseean chum :foryou:

Even in a bummer of a thread two of my favorites spread some joy by peacefully discussing the English language. Damn, this is a beautiful place. :applause:

Milieu is French.

I'm being a geek again, aren't I. :sorry:

And as long as we've created a third topic for this thread . . . Why do New Yorkers "ring off" when they hang up a telephone call??? hm

What does "ring off" mean? I grew up in NY and bever heard of this.

What's "bever" got to do with it . . . :insane:

Joe - read my question again (it's in the question) :baiting: maybe you're not old enough ;)

I'm dumber than most. Will someone explain this to me? Slowly.

Still in the dark here David. Are you referring to "tip and ring", the old parts of the phone system?

And while this all settles down, the slab stays on eBay just waiting for someone unaware to pull the trigger...

First off, I video all slab openings.

If this ain't uber-nerdy I don't know what is... :screwy:

I'm sorry, but I find this believable with PGX products, given their reputation for not picking up restoration. I have a PGX book right now that I got off eBay that I was planning to do the same thing, as I'm pretty sure I can spot CT right through the slab. I know there will be no restitution, but at least I can substantiate my claim if it turns out to be true.

Uber-nerdy, but believable.

:::::::Just a thought concerning the OP :::::

Has anyone considered the possibility that the OP may have removed the 1st print book from the PGX slab...resealed & reinserted a later print book in the PGX slab and then video recorded the slab cracking event???... hm

I've only opened a couple of PGX slabs. In the video, he seemed to have legitimate trouble opening the slab, as if it were the first time the slab was cracked open. I could be wrong tho.

I seem to recall the ones I've cracked out being way more substantial than the CGC cases - hard to open without tearing up the case. I could be wrong.
