Chris: I wouldn't exactly call it a clique per se but more of a group of friends that have a respect and loyalty to one another, that extends outside of this forum and into everyday life. Just the same as I have for you. If the same thing had happened to me, I know these guys would do exactly the same. oh lord.

 

 

i respect anyone's desire to do whatever, but leaving for a week to protest the one-week suspension of a member who basically went off like a six year old having a tantrum is a bit beyond me.

 

 

it's like high school all over again. the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the suspension is really so FDQ esque that it baffles me.

 

 

feel free to disagree, but i think the moderators did exactly the right thing. hopefully the next time someone thinks people are getting out of hand with useless junk posts, they'll ask the moderators to intervene, rather than martyring themselves like J_C on his best day

Lauren, you aren't to blame for this. The ones who have kept the WTTB thread alive all this time are to blame. That thread alone helped perpetuate the stereotype of the "Comic Book Geek Nerd". The Nerd factor went up in this forum about 150% around day two of that thread.

I saw absolutely no purpose to the thread and questioned many times why it still existed. It was just chock full of ridiculous posts.

I said this in my thread, and I'm going to post it here since I know the "strikers" are going to be lurking.

 

But it's ironic that many of the members who are complaining about all of the zero-substance posting probably won't bother to read, or post a response to this, because they're too busy "protesting" the fact that someone got suspended for spamming the boards.

 

I have a lot of respect for Greggy and his contributions, but he was spamming the boards. If it were anyone else, he would have been lynched.

 

Let's get a grip.
