Here's a neat one.  I bought a completed commission from another collector a few years ago by Ciro Nieli (art director for the 2012 Nick series).

A few years back I also got a commission from Gerhard after getting glowing recommendations from friends.  He tends to specialize in landscapes and scenery of all kinds and works in incredible detail.  I noticed on his site that he offers "collaborations" where he'll take an existing commission with a blank background and he'll work around the art.  This Nieli piece had a lot of white space around it, making it a great candidate.  Here is the result:

The clever part I liked was how he turned the "grass" around the feet in the original picture into water splashes in the sewer.  The detail in this is astounding.  I don't know how he does it.  The tones from the original commission look really nice against the background.  I'm psyched with how this collaboration turned out!

Sold my original 9.8 years ago to Adam thinking it'd be easy to get another...little did I know the census would barely budge on this this book after all these years. So I gave up on looking for one and figured I'd just get a 9.6 or so at some point. No rush since in lower grades was fairly readily available. I still may settle for a 9.6 on this book as I'm still mainly collecting art (the original reason I sold in the first place...) but for now at least a 9.8 is back in the collection. :)

Stuck the book in this part of the display in my Sewer. .. Can't remember if I shared the Movie III Donatello hands I picked up as well a while back. Had wanted a movie prop too so had to get these bad boys. I may be in the minority, but as a kid I loved the 3rd movie so definitely happy to add these to the collection.

I've recently wanted props as well, and while reading I noticed them in the pic, hoping they were! :celebration:

Still so cool, as a beginning teen or aroun 10 or 11, I enjoyed the 3rd movie as well! :Rocket:

Nice pickup!

I saw that book on offer and missed out by a couple of seconds 😭 One of my favourite covers due to the beautiful sunset, so striking.

I don’t think I’d ever get tired of walking in this room! EVER!! Yes, truly amazing. All those framed classics! Wowza.

Art image is 2 feet wide, but the full board is bigger. 18 inches high as well
