Popular Post jaybuck43
Don’t get me wrong, I adore Kevin (wouldn’t have waited in line for almost 3 hours if I didn’t) but he’s going to be copper age Stan lee at this point. Between him selling his stuff direct and the number of con signings he does, it’s going to be harder to find turtles stuff without his signature than with. Judith was super sweet, gave me a hug. Asked if I was even born when the movie came out I assured her I was in the perfect age to be traumatized by the second chance store being burned down had Kevin sign my film poster (same one Judith signed) a couple pages from city at war, death of Donatello page, 6 pages from Archie tmnt #1, and a few mirage prints that Steve and Pete previously signed. Popular Post MAY1979
Adventures Mini #1. When I picked up the book as kid as I recall, all copies at my LCS were in rough shape or had light back cover rippling. I went with the later and made a note in my Comics notebook to seek a better copy, something I never followed through on. Last Sept (2021) I self-evaluated the book and except for the light ripple it was pretty much flawless. I sent it and some other Comics to be pressed which I never had really done before. Received it back recently - glad i sprung for a press, although I do wonder it was another case of my being too strict and would it have received a 9.8 anyhow? I'll never know... Love the back cover as I'm a huge Stones fan. Edited September 17, 2022 by MAR1979 Gump24601, Cat, THE_BEYONDER and 5 others

O and this guy… It sounds like a great day. Love it. That stand up is awesome. You’re right about Kevin and the signing, but we love it anyway. He has this “humbleness” and coolness that we can’t get enough of. Was that your first time meeting Ms. Hoag? I’d take it as a compliment if she said that to me. 6 pages from Archie? Any cool action shots? I managed to get through to a friend and hopefully commission a Talbot sketch. We’ll see. My fingers are crossed.

Jesse-Lee
Picked up some turtles - 14 or so issues away from finishing the run (aside from books I'll probably never get, like a first print #1 - or probably a 2nd or 3rd print for that matter). Sorry for the dirty scanner... Professor K, ADAMANTIUM, THE_BEYONDER and 1 other
Professor K
Any idea why a 3rd printing TMNT 1 8.5 is at 7,977.00 on comicconnect with 3 days left? https://www.comicconnect.com/item/954751 Oh and not counting the 15% fee. Someone bid from the main screen without clicking on the link? That's my guess. If you look at the search for "Teenage mutant ninja turtles" it comes up with three other copies that are all 1st prints. CC did a terrible job flagging the fact it's a third print. I think you're right. And at least one person. To see what printing it is you have to open the page. It should be in the title just to avoid problems, which this certainly is going to be. Popular Post Turtle
Granite State was a ton of fun last weekend! I'm only just now getting to scanning some things from the show. For me, probably the coolest thing was seeing the debut of the TMNT #1 negatives presented by @rich_TMNT. The display was absolutely terrific. And the display was set up right in the path of the Eastman line, so there was PLENTY of time to take it all in. It was a genius move in retrospect. When Rich sets up again in the future, I'd HIGHLY recommend any turtle fan go and take a look. The presentation is very professional and if Rich is there, he's got loads of good information on the history and the things he's learned from it. Well done! One thing I was able to get signed during the show was a Shellback Artworks print from the 30th anniversary signing up in Wells, Maine. To my knowledge, this wasn't a print that was widely printed and sold. Instead, they ran off around 100 of these and just posted them up around town as a form of advertising for the signing. As such, I can't imagine many of them survived. Kevin and Peter signed it during the signing. I got Steve to sign it last year during a show and finally got Jim to finish it off at Granite State last weekend. I love stuff like this. It's how music fans might feel about concert posters...a memento from a moment in time. eastbayrudy, Gump24601, ADAMANTIUM and 3 others
rich_TMNT
Great seeing you again! So glad you enjoyed the exhibit - appreciate the compliments. It was a ton of work to get them to the point they could be easily displayed but now they are ready to travel. Hope to do more shows here in the coming year.
