This guy has had a shady history almost since day 1. He's been nominated for the PL more than once ( please correct me if I'm wrong ). Motive and intent? Obviously he's trying to use the boards to make money..not a crime as I can name a dozen people off the top of my head who do the same and they don't give a squirt about the "community". The issues are with the stream of lies and deceptions...it's ridiculous. Maybe he doesn't belong in the HoS by the letter of the "law", but the eyeball test has HoS written all over this guy.

 

It really is this simple.

 

Leave it to a bunch of comic nerds to circle jerk to death all the various nuances of each and every post and excuse and reason.

 

You guys kill me. Common sense + eyeball/sniff test = HOS.

 

The majority of people here want HOS. The problem is there are a few respected long time members here who don't want him in the HOS which is causing the hold up.

 

I still do not understand how people think this. 1) There is no vocal minority holding anything up. A vocal group emerged almost from the start saying hey guys lets wait till all the evidence is in. Crassus and Sha asked for the Pms on multiple occasions, they were only posted last night. 2) The poll was pulled because Harvey decided to pull it. We don't know why he did, but he chose to. My hope is Harvey realized that it was too quick to put the poll up and he should have waited till we had more to go on

 

Other than his nomination (that he wrote for the good of the community) being crapped on, I can't imagine why he took it down. Even after the vocal group voiced their concerns, the number of Yes votes continued to roll up because they don't need every shred of evidence laid out in front of them to see what was happening.

I agree the poll shouldn't have gone poof - but you have to admit based on this current mess the HOS/PL criteria should be revisited and clarified.

Why don't you ask the person who started the poll and took it down? I've never started one here. As far as I knew, Pov used to post them, then newer people seem to have taken over his job. It's not something I'd volunteer for.

I'm just curious, are you infallible? You seem to really deride the fact that people wanted to make sure there wasn't a rush to judgement. Remember what happened with Kav? When he first joined, EVERYONE (myself included) thought he was a shill, even though there was no evidence to the fact it just "felt" like a shill.

I'll fully agree that the write-up lacked screencaps and "evidence."

 

I've stated several times that I felt like my hand was forced since several were bluntly stating "why do we need a write-up. I'll just start a poll. "

 

I figured I'd preemptively get a write-up/poll written and edit it as more info/evidence came in. I edited Symbiotic's write-up about 10 different times as he kept shooting himself in the foot!

To protect people. I've never had a problem with you, as a matter of fact, I enjoy your "passionate viewpoint"...but when you started, you were a little more forceful than some others.

 

What if a few old timers, louder new timers just didn't like you?

 

Some of us, don't want anything that goes into a list like the Hall of Shame or probation thread to be personality based.

 

I don't have a long list of people I don't like here, it's extremely short, almost non existent , but if someone started a poll to put that person or persons in the Hall of Shame solely because they are irritating I'd be speaking out against it. I might later, but these lists cannot be based on personality...nor gender, nor skin color, nor any of those other ridiculous things.

 

If there are no facts backing up the nomination the lists would be extremely long.
