A couple heartbreakers. They look very respectable in the scans. And when I first unwrapped them from their mailers. But then I looked closely and found problems. I hate it when that happens.

The Millie #195 has some small tears on the back cover.

 

The #197 has a faint color breaking crease on the top right corner that's about an 1 1/4" long. You can sort of see it on the scan. It goes through the "P" in GROUP.

 

They're both great examples of why it's hard to buy raw stuff over the web from unproven dealers.

Still can't beat the thrill of buying raw and receiving a book that's as advertised or better than expected, though.

 

Guess it's the thrill of the hunt that continues to drive the game of chance (for me anyway).
