My wife sells high end antiques on various non eBay sites. She was contacted by the show to bring an item in for filming. They offered plane fare and accommodations and the offer to be on TV. She turned them down. Some people just want to get on TV. Not me…

Like you, this holds no interest for me.  I am sure there are some who will take a $5000 loss-to-value on an item for a free trip to Vegas and their "15 minutes of fame."  Steep price for an "experience."

Got a 15% off coupon for my bday from Half Price Books, but at the time there really wasn't anything I needed nor wanted.

The coupon expires tomorrow, so went at lunch to double check one last time.

Safe to say it's all good, as even with 8.25% Texas sales tax, came away at sticker price of $10. For the actual comic not tpb 

I like it because when I got back into collecting in 2014 ot thereabouts, this cover was on the first tpb I bought to see if I was still into this comic stuff

It looked nearest the 90's that I remembered haha, so to see Deadpool explode and scattered street rooftop wide and regenerate was a synch to coming back to comics!

My wife has travelled widely in Canada, the US, and Europe for her job.  Vegas is the ONLY city she has ever been to that she thought was awful.

I had a nice ride around western Illinois on the motorcycle Friday. Anytime I take the bike, I find more stuff than if by car. I recall one trip home from a flea market about sixty miles away where I had two vintage potato chip cans and a Rock ‘em Sock ‘em Robots strapped and netted on back along with two full saddlebags. 

Since Friday’s bounty was all paper, naturally at least one storm cloud had to threaten me. I’m happy to say, however, that this hodgepodge made it back okay.

The Casper is issue number 9, and any time you can find a vintage comic like that at an antique mall is just icing on the cake. The almanac features a depiction of Columbus’s landing coincident with the Colombian World’s Fair in Chicago, and the Chuck Wagon coloring book, with its deep color palette, was in unused condition. My favorite of the lot however has to be the Golden Girl paper dolls. I have a soft spot for that sort of idyllic glamour, especially as depicted by that great stalwart, Merrill Publishing

And I’m grabbing a few you left behind - that Jughead annual, that Jo-Joy premium with the Christmas cover, for sure the Mighty Mouse, likely the Crime and Punishment, the Four Color Easter With Mother Goose, possibly that Howdy Doody, and jumping for joy at that Four Color Uncle Scrooge!

These came from an ask at a garage sale - guy said he had some comics, and told me to come back in 20 minutes after they finished setting up and he would bring them out - glad I circled back.  

Came out to a little over $2 per book

2 of the Dark Knights #1s are first prints - other two are second prints

A near complete run of X-men from 134 - 179 (only missing 137 and 143)

Picked these up at a yard sale for $8

I had a booth at a mixed genre show yesterday (a mix of comics and other things). I picked up a couple of TPBs for cheap, but nothing worth photographing. There was a collector there with tons of promo items and posters. I didn't have time to dig through the posters, but I picked up the following promo items for a whopping $4.50. I'm a sucker for promo stuff.
