i love that Adams corner - he really is great

Me too...he really is the quintessential Bronze artist. There are a lot of his HOS/HOM books in this collection...maybe 40-50 if you count anything he did for Witching Hour and such. Lots of his Superman/Actions and Jimmys. Also a bunch of his Superboys.

 

I wish it all was higher grade, but it's mostly great stuff.

In my area it just seems that all the Cl adds anymore are other flippers/middlemen. A quick look the other day yielded nothing but adds from the same posters, and they were all worded from the mouth of a dealer. Or, just overpriced that the people selling think is worth a mint.

I think about half of the Craigslist ads in my area are people looking to buy collections. Over saturation!

I responded to a CL add today. Guy wanted $350 for maybe $100 worth of books assuming his grading was dead on (he gave them all very high grades). He did inform me though that was a very good price. And this was for maybe 10% of his total books he has priced at $750 in total and these are not the most valuable ones he listed. :facepalm:

I found a couple of cool books at a model train show today.

If you aren't familiar with these comics, they're the French-Canadian editions of Hulk #180 and #181.

 

I see lots of those french canadian marvel books around here....I think I had hulk #3 (or whatever the equivalent of it was)...

I found a decent CL buy today. ~2,400 Bronze/Copper books.

 

Nothing spectacular, with a lot of 2nd/3rd tier titles. And they'd clearly been picked over - no ASM, no X-Men keys among the 180-260 run, etc. But a decent find at a fair price.

 

Some Atlas # 1s, Shadow 1-10, the Byrne FF run, Night Nurse 1-4, etc. Best part was, the books stopped precisely at 1990, so while no NM 98, no hundreds of true 90s drek either.

 

Just $.35-$.60 cover drek.
