EXPhysiker
Manuel Garcia is doing a lot of great commissions in the last weeks. I immediately jumped on his list. Tooked 10 days to finish this piece after the first request and his price is pretty low. 250€ for A3 https://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1805912 JadeGiant, PixelPusher, grapeape and 1 other

Popular Post ttfitz
First the story - A number of years ago, my daughter was with me at a convention, and she asked why I never got a sketch or anything like that. I told her I wasn't really into that very much. My favorite artist - Tim Truman - was at the show, and GrimJack is one of my favorite books. As GrimJack fans know, part of the story is that he is cursed to be reincarnated over and over, so I joked to her, "Well, maybe if I could get Tim Truman to draw ME as GrimJack I'd like that - a 'GrimTim' as it were." Later when we were talking to him, she asked if he did stuff like that, and he said, sure, but not at a show, but check my website for commissions. So, this year I turned 60, and my daughter has been out of college for a couple years making real money, so she apparently commissioned a drawing for me to give me for my birthday. It didn't arrive in time for my birthday, but she brought it to me this weekend, and I couldn't be happier. So, I present to you, TimJack (he changed the name, which is of course much better): I was very stoked that he included Bob the WatchLizard, too! Popular Post Webhead2018
Wasn't able to attend Megacon as its well over a thousand miles from where I live. But I was able to score a sweet piece. Had a facilitator get me a head sketch jam piece on 9x12 bristol board. Yanick Paquette, Humberto Ramos, Ryan Ottley, Steve McNiven, Ryan Stegman and Sam De La Rosa. I can't wait to get the piece on hand soon. And even though it's just head sketches. Love that I now have something from these artists. Edited May 24, 2022 by Webhead2018 grapeape, cgcsketcherz, alxjhnsn and 2 others

Popular Post Rick2you2
I rarely buy commissions anymore, but I love the one I just got from Aaron Campbell. Campbell is the artist on the current Constantive series (Hellblazer), and his work plays beautifully in the horror genre. I had commissioned him at NY Comicon last year, and he ran about 6 months late, but this is worth it. Basically, he used John Bolton's style in Books of Magic to create an interpretation of the essence of the Phantom Stranger so rarely captured by artists. While you can't tell, he also did it on a rough paper which gives the image some nice texture. By the way, it was $500 for a 11 x 17, but he has since raised his rates to $600--if you can get him. The following image does not do it justice. Nuttzo, alxjhnsn, piper and 7 others

He wrote me back that he has one slot left for his Heroes Con commission list if anyone is interested. "You don't have to be present at the con. My list is available through my rep, Cadence Comic Art. here's a link. And they can upgrade to the same size as yours! https://cadenceselect.bigcartel.com/product/campbell2022" His mention about upgrading is that I had upgraded to the 11 x 17 size from his regular size. Popular Post alxjhnsn
Time to squander a little more of the kids' inheritance. Though actually, the spending happened some time ago. The results arrived today.Mike Kunkel's Herobear and the Kid is a wonderful story of a young man, his toy bear, and his family. Mike describes it this way on his website:Herobear and the kid is a nostalgic view of childhood, complete with new schools, bullies, true love, imagination, and… a magic bear. After his grandfather passes away, young Tyler inherits an old stuffed toy bear and broken pocket watch. He soon learns that things aren’t always what they seem, and that you shouldn’t judge a bear by its cover.---I fell in love with it on first reading back in 2008. It's taken a long time to get on his list and I'm thrilled that I finally did. Thanks, Mike. It's perfect and more than you promised! Click the link for a bigger picture.
