Touched down in Charlotte with the clan. Checked in at the Courtyard. Nice hotel, but it's not the Westin. After four years of coming here, I only now discovered the Overstreet Mall. Good to know there are other cheap places to eat besides Fuel Pizza close to the convention center.

I thought you drove.

 

When you drive nine hours in a row on two hours sleep, touching down/crashing is what it feels like when you finally lay down on a nice soft mattress.

I'm older and I drove 16 hours on the way up to Philly. Uphill, both ways.

 

What kind of car do you drive again? What room are you staying in?

good news, I cracked a couple of Homemade Rye's to test and they matured

faster than I expected so I'll be bringing a few bottles.

 

I must admit this is pretty powerful stuff though, even hopsecutioner doesn't have anything on this...

 

 

I'll be packing up the beers tonight!

Westin is typically a $300 a night type hotel. Really nice place. Definitely not a Super 8.

Every Westin is nice. It's my hotel of choice anywhere in North America. I've never had a bad night at a Westin.

 

It just happened to be sold out by the time I called.
