Weak prices on the other hand for the Avengers 4s in 9.4 and 9.6 however. The 9.6 went for 40% below GPA.

 

To be fair, the 9.4 had COW pages so it wasn't a bad price at all for the 9.4 and the 9.6 didn't meet reserve.

Here's one I was tracking that totally obliterated GPA. Last sale for a 9.0 was less than $900. This one went for $1,477.

I was watching the #153 and was somewhat surprised to see it get nearly a Mile High type multiplier of guide. Highest graded copies of 50's Tecs always draw some really strong action.

My bad....I was confusing the Avengers 4s with other books.

 

Looks like the consignor was right to put in a reserve....

The answer is obvious:

 

a) it looks kind of cute

b) maybe it has a Batman interior that was distracting everyone.
