Anyone notice there are now two graded copies of Scooby Doo 1? I think the 8.5 was the motor city copy but now there is a 7.0 too! If anyone has a lower grade copy they are now looking to move, I am very interested...

hm Just like my Iron Fist #14 9.4 and I wish us both luck. :wishluck:

I've seen two graded for many years, I think the 7.0 was listed on the census as non-variant so they must have updated the list.
Could that be the same thing with the IF 14 now popping up? That is too big of news in our collecting to hide.

I think if a Scooby Doo 1 price variant or Flintstones 1 variant popped up, they would FAR outsell Iron Fist 14 or Star Wars 1. If an 8.0 regular edition goes for well over $1400, and a Star Wars non variant can fetch $50 or less in the same shape, going by that math (not even factoring in rarity), Scooby Doo 1 should go for $50,000 +. Obviously, it probably won't go this high, but I honestly think it could push $10k if brought up to sale even in a 7.0. my 2c

Surprised there was not more talk about these EBAY Auction, I guess people were observing Rule 1.

I was the under bidder on this one and a tad shocked not to win.

I know who has the 7.0, and where he got it. You would know the owner too. I am not going to mention his name, but I assure you, I doubt it is for sale.

Would this be the right place to bring up "sticker" variants?I remember some one bringing it up years ago but...that was years ago.

Jimmers

We used to joke about them over at stlcomics. Think Roger had some examples posted over there as well.

I have several, and recently got one from a boardie. There is a tread about them over at STL buried somewhere.

Wow, amazing price considering the not so great condition of those copies. I am so glad I got my VFs way back when for a fraction of what those went for. I can only imagine what a KC 208 would go for nowadays.

I know the odds of finding one of these in the wild is uber slim, but at those prices I was happy to lose. meh

Hard to argue with finding a rare price variant cheap. I've done it a couple times and of course, its awesome. But those Rawhide kid issues aren't in abundance and the market has said over and over, now, 134 even in low grade is a crazy book. I was not surprised by its price. Good luck finding a cheaper copy (thumbs u

I said too till I found a 30 cent Weird Wonder Tales 16 in the back of a comic shop that was closing in a $.25 box. I realize its not a Western, but close.

The point is there are out there you just gotta look. The more money they bring the more people will look. Unless of course you wanna pay big money.

Ive been buried in dry wall dust, reaking of cigarette smoke, and covered in cob webs from digging for comics, but the find makes it worth. Most of the time.

I am sure Cosmic has me beat because he would go to old run down shops that I refused to go into for fear of getting robbed. (The old record store remember?) :fear:

:hi: Hi; Fastball yes it is real nice to find them in the wild especially one of the final ones you need to complete your set. After many attempts to win an X-Men #107 on ebay and bidding some crazy prices (at that time) and never able to do so I stumbled onto one in a comic book shop for like $18 now that was sweet. I have actually found many in the wild over the years some of my best finds was a nice Kid Colt Outlaw #205 at a comic book show for like $3 and a nice Sgt. Fury #142 at a comic book shop for around $5 :cloud9: and as recent as last year I found a few Ms. Marvel issues at a show for like $3 each so there are still some out there you just have to keep looking. :wishluck:

Shield needs to tell about his find on that the Kid Colt #219 now. :baiting:

I have a rawhide kid 134 and two gun kid 130 mark jewelers inserts. Are they worth anything? Thanks

Are they 30c variant's with the MJ Insert as well, or regular priced copies with the Insert?

The 30c variants are going to be worth something regardless, if they are the regulars, the Insert is a nice to have, I've known a few people that were trying to put together a set, but they are not nearly as rare and therefore a regular MJ is not really worth that much more than a regular without the MJ.
