ygogolak
Keep in mind that the high sale was for $1,250.00 (!!) last year though. If I had $1250 laying around I sure wouldn't spend it on a Hulk 271 Seems a little better than Shazam #28. A second appearance book vs "1 st Bronze age" appearance book. Which is the more perplexing? The fact that people try to figure out why others pay $x for a book. If it helps, those are both second appearances.

The fact that neither is a first appearance is perplexing At least Shazam 28 is a 2nd appearance where the first appearance, Marvel Family 1, is next to impossible to find. Both Hulk 271 and Marvel Preview 7 are readily available. I did not know Black Adam appeared in only one comic prior to the Shazam #28 appearance. Wow. Learn something every day. In my opinion, that just makes #28 that much more desirable. Maybe I'm crazy...

vane
DC Super-Stars #17 CGC 9.6 @ $91 & 26 watchers. Keep in mind the 9.4 ended up selling for $193. I think that's a fair price considering what the last 9.8 sold for. What did the 9.8 sell for? $1080 back in last December. Ebay Sale Link The All-Star Comics #58 (Power Girl First Appearance) on Comiclink went $1150, that's $70 more than the DC Super-Stars #17. Wow! both of these books are hot right now. http://www.comiclink.com/auctions/item.asp?back=%2FAuctions%2Fdefault%2Easp%3FFocused%3D1%26pg%3D34%26x%3D0%26y%3D0%23Item%5F1047816&id=1047816 Edited February 25, 2015 by vane

However, given what I've seen so far on the other books that have ended on ComicLink, speculation on key issues have taken a whole new level. More so it is accepted that a reprint in not a "new" appearance. Like Where Monsters Dwell #6, it's not widely considered the 2nd Groot, the perception is Hulk Annual #5. I went big on it (I thought, haha) and still got buried. This CL auction has a ton of books going for big money. Good time of year for it I suppose.
