I have really enjoyed the series. Hate to say it but imo Pete Tomasi is the stand out batman scrib in the new 52. Yup, looking at you snyder!

So I have a friend who is big time Marvel, and I am big time DC (only marvel I read Ultimate Spider-man).

 

I leant him my New 52 Batman trade and he says the art is amateur.. AMATEUR. Has anyone else heard bad things about the art from Batman? I love it, (I think Batman and Robin is pretty close if not sometimes better though)

I guess his definition of amateur differs from everyone else's? The Marvel fanboys I know that have read the Batman New 52 books say the are great.

 

Just tell him that Peter Parker sucks compared to Otto Spidey and see what happens........

Capullo's art is the opposite of amateur. The tone of this series is set by Snyder's writing and Capullo's grit.

 

I bet your friend loves Romita Jr's art.
