Yeah, pretty sure the inner covers would have been spared from the scuffing. Can't want to see what kind of feedback they get. Update on that uniquecomics character selling fake doubles. They finally got one feedback---a positive. I looked at the ad and it was for a supposed double cover of the DC New 52 FCBD Preview. There are corner creases on both the front and back of the INNER cover and the outer cover is crease free! Inner covers are basically never in worse shape than the outer cover unless it's one where the inner cover gets hung up on the binding machine and a corner near the spine gets torn off. And shockingly the covers don't line up and are not flush against each other. How anyone could fall for these is beyond me. Just wait until they send it to CGC and... WHOOOOOAA NELLY! MCS finally took this down. The Thor #337 CBCS 9.8 sold for $900 or so. About the same as a CGC 9.6 double went for in June so I'm certain the incomplete label had at least a slight effect on what the final price ended up. Hopefully for the seller the winning bidder doesn't send it to be regraded by CGC only to find out it was a CBCS label error and not really a double cover. This was months before the cartoon series so it's funny to hear Destro's voice sound more like Cobra Commander's in the series. Now they've created a slight breach of etiquette and went right for the throat with a septuple covered copy! (This begs the question: why didn't they lead with that? Hmmmm...) Newsstand as well! I mean, why stop there? Why not buy 50 dollar bin comics and turn that into a quinquagintuple cover?!?!? Seriously though, this seller is becoming a menace. Fantucchio collection that I got for double its cover price from MCS. A Cap double that I couldn't resist because of the classic Romita art(all three characters are in full leaping position!) And after I found that Hulk 180 double, I just had to finish off the Wolverine bookend with a #182! There are obviously NO 181 doubles in existence so I'll never be able to get the entire trilogy. I talked to owners at my lcs about it. Pretty sure the Big 2 have eliminated these types of errors in today's comics. Still waiting to see someone who bought from them get one back from CGC, but that could still be a while. There's one that they currently have that really makes me chuckle. How does major creasing end up on the corner of a cover in between covers with pristine corners?
