Fazybones
Thanks for asking Fay, I am almost completely back to normal now! That's great news and I love when these boards do something so kind for a fellow member in need. (thumbs u It was the hi-lite of this year on the boards for me watching such generosity for one of the many good guys. Mathew, do you remember when I mentioned Kharma to you and that War Comics # 11 was a freebie thrown in on a recent purchase from another great board member. pinball
Adventures Into Weird Worlds #29. I just purchased this at my LCS today. I have seen it there for over 2 months and finally decided to buy it. I know it is low grade but I couldn't leave it there. The only pre-code horror in the whole store. Larryw7
This issue has some of the best stories and art of the entire EC "New Trend" era: Edited April 13, 2008 by Doiby_Dickles
shiverbones
This has been near the top of my want list for ages. I always found it to be one of the best precode horror covers. There is such a sense of menace, motion & fear, it's a perfect example of what makes these books great. You can almost see the headless maniac running off the cover, wildly flailing his arms, just terrifying. Great colors too. George Evans...
shiverbones
And this one, WOW! Long just about my favorite Fawcett cover ever since I Saw it in Benton's horror comics book over 12 years ago (Beat only by WOF#10). What I did not expect though is how intense the metallic inks are! I had talked to Adamstrange about fawcett's Metallic inks before, but never owned a copy where they just shone of the page like mirrors, in hand this book is beyond description, it's a lustrous gem! Comicdey
great books you have there....thanks for sharing.....I've long since sold most of my pre-code horror in the chase of GGA. Horror or Babes.....no brainer for me...but I love seeing the horror books you all chase so vigilantly.
shiverbones
good point there. Of course at night I'd rather cozy up with my lady then a skeleton or a headless man!
