Congrats! I also wondered if you were bidding on it. I've always felt like this book was (a distant) second to Fin Fang Foom in pre-hero "keyness". Slightly off-topic for this thread, but I know that my fellow PHM nuts can appreciate it. This was likely my big purchase from this auction. bc, frozentundraguy, Jasonmorris1000000 and 4 others 6

The art is good, and Moomba is menacing enough. What throws me are the motion lines. If he were swooping down and flying over the crowd it would make sense to me. But the motion lines show that he is bellyflopping onto the crowd. Why? Maybe the story reveals the reason, but that detail always snatched defeat from the jaws of victory for this cover in my mind. bc and frozentundraguy

I knew I should have taken a photo of each page in this book before having it graded. bc

I’m sure it is reprinted someplace, or someone here remembers the story. It is one of the less common TTAs in my experience. I’ve never owned a copy. #24-25 are also less common, at least I see them less. Coincidence, or print run variability? #26 isn’t too difficult, and #27 seems fairly common (but that has other factors too, obviously). Steven Valdez
I've started collecting all the Marvels that came out in the same month as FF#1, cover date November 1961. It's incredible how many books Kirby was drawing per month! bc, mysterio, KirbyJack and 1 other

Plus how many interior pages, I wonder. That to me would be the impressive part. It seems like J Scott Campbell draws 8 covers every month, though his all feature the same woman… bc and KirbyJack 1
