still need to read the Dome....I have it on my shelf (a real book). 11/22/63 looks intriguing.

I would read 11/22/63 first. I liked Dome a good amount as well; I'm always interested when King starts off with a small group of people and leaves them to their own devices.

My ex strongly recommended 11/22/63, and she's not a King fan. The Dome was awesome, way better than The Stand.

I have to disagree as well. While I like the Dome its not going to be considered a "classic" the Stand is. The origin of the Dome was a very weak part of the story.

never read it but I like The Dome tv show (which starts back up soon btw!)

I haven't watched every episode, but the show is pretty good overall. They made some immaterial changes that made no sense (changing random characters around?), but other than that, pretty solid transition.

Back to an earlier derail topic...finished 11/22/63, pretty entertaining but found myself flipping through the verbose passages that didn't really matter in regards to the plot. One of the least horrific King novels I've read.

What is a "Hereo". Is that a cookie...?

And, yeah, King writes stuff other than just horror. Don't think anyone said 11/22/63 was a horror book.

Stand by Me

Shawshank Redemption

The Green Mile

Eyes of the Dragon

the list goes on and on...

Were you the same guy that said you flipped through some of The Dark Tower books? It seems like maybe you don't his reading that much if you find yourself flipping through the material.
