I used to manage a large health club

One day this extremely irate Asian woman comes into my office and starts ranting and raving about the pool being to cold, I went and checked it and it was right where it was supposed to be, but she wouldn't stop her tirade, finally I asked her what she would like me to do about it, and your post was exactly what she said.

 

Monies!!!!

 

I said what?

 

She said it again

 

Monies!!!!!

 

I said, you want me to give you money because you think the pool is to cold?

 

And she said it again

 

Monies!!!!

 

At that point I escorted her out of my office and that was the end of it.

 

For the next year my staff and I would occasionally look at each other and just start shouting

 

MONIESSSS!!!!!!!!

People that are paying hundreds for Foom #2 are crazy. Look in the guide at all of the famous marvel characters prototype books (Tales of suspense ect... ) They are listed as prototype and really do not count as first appearances. Basically they where working these characters out before really putting them together with there stories. Besides the Name In the Foom #2 does this even qualify as a Proto type? I would own a copy of this coloring book for like $10 bucks but that's it !

Wow eBay auction just ended for 133.50 for Foom #2. It's amazing what a conversation on an online message board will do for an item. :popcorn:

 

But it's been said many times these boards have no impact on sales on E-Bay or elsewhere. :eyeroll:

 

This thread is a reaction to the more popular and more viewed Bleeding Cool article. That's where the fire is, this thread is just a little bit of the smoke.

 

Bleeding Cool boards pretty much suckle a*s.

Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that they broke the news and that news has been and is being viewed more there.

 

Thumbs up to them for breaking it even though over there it's not clear on who should get the credit! 7 pages of comments there but 2 threads about Foom 2 here. I don't really care, what I do care about is that there are no copies of Foom 2 to be had anywhere and with Olsen coming out and speaking candidly about Wolverine and another creation of his making its way in Marvel comics it looks like Hulk 180 181 fans should be nervous ;)

 

This is the most ridiculous thing I have read today since that last pressing thread. lol

I was just kidding around bro. I understand exactly what you mean. I can't tell you how many times over the last 30 years of collecting I was drawn in by the hot book of the moment thing. I am going back to when GI Joe 2 was so much more then #1, two was like 60 bucks and I bought one...(why was that by the way? lol Low print run scam?) So I know what yours saying. :foryou:

I agree. It was worth at least 12 bucks before all the stuff. lol. It's a 12 dollar mag.

I just noticed something else in Foom 2. I just opened it for the first time. :tonofbricks:lol

Foom 2 was released in 1973. First time Quasar was introduced was 1/1978. And I would like all the people who said that marvel would never use any of these ideas of this mag as part of the universe to say that the thumb nail photo does not look like Quasar's powers. lol

 

I guess Bleeding Cool did not put light on this....because Quasar is not that cool. lol

Could you post scans of the rest of them, as some look very interesting.

 

Like that Midnight Stranger character (MOKF?) and DarkStar and that guy flying (in the fold). And what about Star-Hawk? That one jumped right out at me as a potential direct rip-off.
