I picked up two PB's recently.

First up is the 'Shrinking Man' (pub. 1956), which became the Incredible Shrinking Man movie in 1957. The book was not quite complete when filming for the movie began.

Next is 'Tough Kid from Brooklyn' (pub. 1951) with a great cover by Raymond Johnson. A nod to S.A. for his article in 'Illustration', which shows this cover.

Matheson was a true master of the genre! One of my all time favorites. Thanks so much for sharing!

Some random additions to the collection.

I read MacDonald's The End of the Night a few months ago and really liked it.  The feel and pace of it reminded me a lot of Capote's In Cold Blood

The End of the Night is one of the MacDonald's I haven't read yet, I'll need to track it down.  All three books are gorgeous.

Thanks and for some reason I thought you read all of his books. I think I've read 13 of his so far and will try to stick to only reading 3 or 4 a year since I know It'll be depressing when I've finished them all. Though I'll be kicking myself if I don't live another 15 years.

I’ve read all his sf/fantasy stories and all the Travis McGee books.  Like you, I read 2-3 more a year so I don’t run out too soon
