My god has it been that long? According to HA, I didn't bid on it, though for the life of me I can't figure out now why not. Only 6 on the census so I guess it's in the rare category. I dunno if I'll post them all here, but I will in the LB Cole thread as they are all his covers. Seems like a lot more Romance though. I had my pick of multiples of the horror books at SDCC one year. They all went within a couple hours. It's taken many many years for romance to appreciate to the point where it's become financially feasible to slab most of the 329 Harvey romance line and put them up for sale and make a profit. There are a handful of better covers and the odd 'teen-age sex club' story, but for the most part they are pretty homogenized. The story content (for those that actually read the comics ) can be fairly wild and wooly, though, and the line-up of artists is consistently good. Re-discovered a nice little bit of jaw-socking bullet to the gut crime in my romance in issue 10 of First Romance Magazine here, Bob Powell: That's gotta be the most common two ending panels in crime comics. A whopping 21 issues of this title haven't made it to the digital museums yet. A lack of love for the love, or scarce Canadian moonshine? Not a great cover, but I knew before I even opened her up to read that it'd be good, as Superior has A) many cheesecake and lingerie sorts of GGA panels which is a main appeal (you better believe these Superior books were aiming their sleaze at both the boys and the girls) crossed with oddball zaniness which is the other reason a lot of us like the golden age genre books. I say sleaze and then there's religious products on the inner cover Waiting around for hours for hubby with nothing to do but look sexy And then the brute gets home, hey, baby, did you miss me? :o LOL Wait. I've seen this before.
