I did a bad trade for it and when I was trading something felt off like, I have this book so I checked my spread sheets and it was not marked off. Raze Posted March 31, 2023 Share Posted March 31, 2023 Well I just sold my 90% of my collection (all modern plus some toysI, kept all my GA and ECs...DUH!) and got a little more than I was expecting! I was going to try and make the 5 hour trip from St Louis to Chicago but there is supposed to be bad weather most of the day tomorrow so I think Im not going. So Ive been looking at a few ECs tonight and was wondering which had the better stories? Yes I know they are all good but here's a few books Im considering, Weird Science 21 and 22 Weird Fantasy 12 VOH 21, 24, 28 Weird Science fantasy 25 TFTC 45 Ive got a few options but Im leaning a little towards TFTC 45 and VOH 24 (unless someone has an extra VOH 21 PM me!) This is probably an unpopular opinion, but personally I never liked Jack's horror covers. The early TFTC covers by Feldtstein and Wood have much greater visual appeal, IMO. Jack's forte was humor. KirbyJack Posted April 6, 2023 Share Posted April 6, 2023 I feel similarly about Davis' horror covers. My favorite is 37, but the cover to 40 is almost funny. If, like me, you imagine the diver saying, "You got back issues?", you won't ever be able to unsee it. I don't have any obstacles with Davis' art while reading a story, tho.
