Marty Mann
While going through my EC's I'm finding all sorts of stories I had forgotten! https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1511/24518255182_a083fc4e37_z.jpg' alt='24518255182_a083fc4e37_z.jpg'>IMG SPLASH PAGE FROM CRYPT OF TERROR #19 mm

Robot Man
I have always loved Crypt #24. He is more of just a corpse though. #23 is my top favorite Feldstein Crypt cover though. Seems zombies and werewolves ruled the early horror books.

midnight rider
Does there exist a database on existing original EC artwork and current values?I would be very interested to see what can be identified.
Marty Mann
Unfortunately here is another early EC that suffered from getting wet. https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3806/9294243158_d2dd0e9707_z.jpg' alt='9294243158_d2dd0e9707_z.jpg'>IMG HAUNT OF FEAR #15 (#1) 1950 mm
IngelsFan
This is the list I posted on another thread, from the EC Yahoo Group, of the EC original art that was detroyed in a house fire a few years back. Aside from these, the rest of the art should exist (although I have specific pages I've been searching for over a decade, with no luck). Current values would be tricky. sacentaur
That's such a shame - any details/backstory on the fire? Also, just curious what are those pages you've been searching for - maybe post a list, and perhaps someone here could help.
IngelsFan
The tragic fire happened in December, 2010 at the home of longtime collector Don Lineberger. I never had the chance to meet Don, but he was well thought of by a lot of the people that were posting about it at the time.
IngelsFan
The three pages at the top of my want list are the last page of "Mausoleum" by Craig from Vault of Horror #29, the last page to "Surprise Party", also by Craig from Vault #37, and the last page of "Squash...Anyone?" by Ingels from Tales From The Crypt #32. Oddly enough I missed out on two chances to buy the Ingels page in 2004/5 and now it has disappeared. If anyone knows where any of these are, I would appreciate any leads! IngelsFan
Can anyone enlighten me about this DVD? Tales From the Crypt DVD These always list from $50-75. Has anyone watched this? Why the high price tag?
Larryw7
It's a history of the EC comics, and the HBO series. It has interviews with Feldstein, Jack Davis, Ray Bradbury and some other EC alumni. It's very good, but I personally don't think it's worth 75 bucks. There's too much time wasted on the television show, and not enough on the comics. sacentaur
CSS 22 remains a hot book (wish I had one!) even after significant price increases; any thoughts on what specific issue(s) of EC have potential to similarly trend upwards?
originalisbest
Would imagine, anyway, that CSS 17 and 20 have breakout potential. SSS #6, 12 sort of the same thing, though #6 gets a lot of attention lately. There are a ton of EC classic covers that I love, not sure what exactly would bump them to classic cover status vs all their peers -- but I've always loved Crypt 23 and 24. Robot Man
Yeah Crime Suspense #17,20 and 22 are great And, I have to throw these two on the list too! Oddly, all Johnny Craig covers... Crypt #23 is probably my favorite from that title Edited February 2, 2016 by Robot Man

sacentaur
Crypt #23 is probably my favorite from that title Mine too, but it doesn't have that over-the-top sensationalism of a CSS 22. CSS 17 and 20 are good candidates. VOH 35 may be be the next contender - it doesn't show you the gore, but instead takes the Hitchcock-ian approach (you know what's coming). Being a Christmas cover too, the contrast is quite striking.
