Post Your Anti-Communist Comics!

I had long wanted to get a anti-communist book for my collection, but over the years just had never pulled the trigger on one. Until last year.

Had a chance to pick this one up and even though I had to pay WAY over guide, I felt with the rarity of the first print (We The People) and with the provenance that it has being a copy that Anna Ruth (Moore) Kietzman had personally sent to a Children of the American Revolution chapter, per the stated signed letter, I just had to have it. What do you guys think?

It's terrible, get rid of it (to me this Sunday).

Really, that's awesome. Congrats!

Here are a couple more by the author of your booklet, Dr. Fred Schwarz, and another similar pamphlet. My grandmother was a heavy in the Christian Anti-Communism movement and had file cabinets of stuff like this, correspondence with Schwarz, and just about everybody else involved in this sort of thing. She also had a killer copy of Two Faces of Communism (the fence cover) that I sold to a friend years ago. I ended up with 99% of her files but have most in storage back in CA right now and these are the only three items I have with me at the time. Maybe someday I'll go through everything, there are literally stacks of this stuff.

It would be interesting seeing those letters to your Grandmother. I still receive the CACC newsletter. It is still called the Schwarz Report but Dr. Noebel seems to oversee it. I got on their mailing list when I inquired if they have any comics stufffed in some closet. No luck.

I overpaid for many of my books as well. That letter is such a nice piece of Americana.

Pathetic. It is not worth being a part of your collection. Don't listen to Buttock. Just give it to me. :makepoint::grin:

BTW, paying over guide for these issues is quite common. :gossip:

Nice pick up, especially the letter. (thumbs u

Yes, the letter is something special

I knew they typically bring over guide, so I didn't mind paying what I did

Thanks Mark :hi:

Here's the only anti-communist comic in my collection (that I can think of):

lovesecrets.jpg

The story is like this: A young woman gets invited to a club that turns out to be a secret communist club. She falls in love with one of the men there. Even though she doesn't really care about commie stuff, she keeps going to the club because he's such a hunk. But eventually the club leaders ask her to prove her loyalty by destroying government property or something. She is torn -- should she go through with it and betray her country, or should she refuse and jeopardize her love life?

From there the story is a total cop-out. Instead of having to make a tough decision, the man she loves turns out to be an undercover government agent.

What a disappointment. I wanted to see her turn commie.
