25 Actors Who Could Play Cable in Deadpool 2

I never thought of this choice.

 

At first glance, Alec Baldwin may not be the most obvious suggestion as a legitimate candidate to play Cable in a superhero film, but bear with us. Baldwin has more experience than most and an immense range as an actor, from live work on Saturday Night Live and Broadway, to comedy genius on 30 Rock, to an Oscar-nominated performance in The Cooler among many other Golden Globe nominations. And c’mon, he nailed it in Beetlejuice and The Hunt for Red October.

 

He’s got the face, hair and voice, and just needs to get the physique down for what would be a role of a lifetime and another ongoing franchise on his resume to go alongside his new part in the Mission: Impossible series.

Guardians Of The Galaxy's Chris Pratt Praises Deadpool Movie

 

On Monday, Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn praised Deadpool for its box office success and its originality. Now Guardians of the Galaxy star, Chris Pratt, is offering up his own admiration for the R-rated superhero film.

 

"Believe the hype people! Deadpool is as good as they come! Great job Ryan Reynolds and T.J. Miller," Pratt tweeted. "Badass, twisted, dark, funny & fun!"

'Deadpool' Set for Another #1 Finish; 'Race', 'Risen' & 'The Witch' Hit Theaters

 

This weekend Deadpool doesn't face much competition in the way of new releases and will retain the number one spot handily. The weekend's three new wide releases vying for a spot below Deadpool include Sony's faith-based feature Risen, Focus' Jesse Owens biopic Race and A24's period horror The Witch.
