New Spider-Man Hoodie Officially Revealed: Is This His Captain America: Civil War Look?

The big excitement over this new hoodie is that it might give fans their first idea of what Spider-Man's costume will look like in Captain America: Civil War. Merchoid’s community manager, Jessica Adams, had the following to say.

"There’s been lots of talk online and people have been really excited that this could be what reveals the new look Spider-man. However, Marvel is doing a fantastic job of keeping the new Spider-man costume under wraps, so we haven’t yet seen it! What we can say is this hoodie was designed in partnership with Marvel, who provided all the design elements from their 2016 merchandise range, including the ‘messy’ webbing which we haven’t yet seen in any prior Spider-man costume. We’re really excited to see what Spider-man fans think! If this is the first look at the new costume, are you happy with the new direction?"

Can he stick to walls while wearing Chuck Taylors?

Supposedly, he can't stick to anything anyway.

Scientists Prove Spider-Man Can't Stick on Walls

While explaining how "sticky" animals could help advance research in bio-adhesives, a group of scientists explained that the human body would need to be 80% covered with sticky pads (or a similarly adhesive material) in order to stick to a wall or similar surface. The study found that only creatures smaller than a gecko would be able to stick to walls naturally with the use of sticky footpads and that larger creatures would either require significantly more adhesive pads (which would then hinder movement walking up and down walls) or much more of the body to be covered in sticky material to mimic a spider's ability to climb walls. So, in order for Spider-Man to effectively climb up walls with "sticky" feet, the hero would need a foot one meter long and 40 centimeters wide.

I wonder who funded this study?

hm

but are they considering his proportional strength?

At that rate, Peter Parker and the actors that have been cast in the Spider-Man movies would have been lucky enough to do one push up even with the proportional strength added. lol

FAKE!

Possible Leaked Tom Holland Spider-Man Costume Image

A possible leaked image featuring Tom Holland in his new Spider-Man costume for Captain America: Civil War has hit the net. It could be a fake.

I say 'fake'.

The image, posted on instagram and shared virally as a "possible image" of the actor on the set is 100%, definitely fake. In fact, doing a tiny bit of research shows where the picture, a photoshop fabrication, has its origins.

Yes, that's the actual picture, from the set of the live-action Assassin's Creed: Lineage. You can clearly see that the photo, from the 2009 live-action short film, has simply been swapped horizontally, with a fake image of Spidey placed over the assassin.

Captain America: Civil War Reportedly Scoring Well With Test Audiences

"I have talked to a whole bunch of sources - about five at this point - and they all agree that test audiences have loved the movie," BMD reports. "In fact, the only thing they disagree on is whether the movie tested as well as or better than Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which had previously been the best-testing Marvel movie."

Those sources also claim "that the movie doesn't pull any punches in the third act, and that if Marvel execs had been concerned about the film going dark places, these stellar test screenings have alleviated all those fears." Well, that sounds very promising.
