When the tough of toughest are mentioned for Centaurs, these always come up in that conversation. I had some time and re-scanned the first four so to see them in a single grouping.

I got most of these four by the mid 80s. The #8 is the Larson copy.

The last one is the recreation which I have posted several times by Filchock who did many of the early covers. The hoot is that he did this at age 95!

Steve;

I just loved that A-Man #6 cover! :cloud9:

A lot better than the cover for A-Man #5 and your copy is just absolutely goreous for a 5.0 graded copy. I always prefer a better looking copy with just the one defect as opposed to having the defects being distributed throughout the entire book. (thumbs u

Here are very little known 'post-Centaurs' which tie into the very end of the runs for Centaur titles and account for the tie in with CMO, etc. (Comic Corporation of America.) Note April 1942 date....that is about as late as it gets before the lights were turned out....

(yes they are ugly covers, but for that completist out there.....)

Paper is beautiful off-white!! Everett's lines were so sharp, and the simplicity of this cover epitomize's what I love about early golden age.

Yup, cool book - I used to own the Larson and foolishly parted with it long ago.

Nowadays I go for lower-grade or restored first issues, so your copy would be perfect... maybe one day. :wishluck:

Congrat's again, Josh. :headbang:
