This one missing a piece on front low-right and the back cover not great, however it can fill the hole for the time being. Congratulations! Tough to find in decent shape, since even the cover is soft pulp paper. Here is my set with rat chews on the center book. Also have two copies of the Donald Duck Fun Kite book. I found my Atom Bomb at a flea market. I got my kite book at an estate sale. Big collection of ‘50’s books. They had them priced “each”. I mixed it into the box. When the lady came to it, she just threw it in free because she thought it was a part of a comic. Robot Man
Saw a similar copy of this just sell on the bay for close to 1K! I had no idea. But in two issues, it would become WDCS #1. PopKulture, Badger, damonwad and 1 other

Will have to pull out my copy and check. I just suspect, it might be a lull harder to find since it was at the end of the run and WDCS #1 was already in the works when this came out. Still, the highest I think I have seen for a mid grade later issue of this title.

It is a cool back cover. But I know of two earlier non-ad appearances of Daisy Duck. [Edited to include] Daisy's true first appearance in print (1939): First appearance of Daisy "prototype" "Donna Duck" in print (1937): BUT, it might be a legit claim that "Donna Duck" should be viewed as Daisy especially in light of this panel from WDC&S no. 1 (taken from low quality reprint) of a scene in Daisy's first animated appearance (as "Daisy" - the mystery is why WDC&S slipped and called her by the earlier name of "Donna". My assumption is that was the original name of the character when they storyboarded the cartoon and that's the name the artist saw when drawing this illustration): EXCEPT that later on Disney made clear Donna and Daisy are two different persons: Edited March 21, 2023 by sfcityduck dikran, Badger, DavideD and 2 others
sfcityduck
Just got to add, for Duck collectors focused on more than covers, Good Housekeeping is a more important publication than Mickey Mouse Magazine.
