I did pick up the original Super 7/Reaction Alien stuff when it was released, but ended up selling most of it a couple of years ago when I sold my modern stuff to finance a couple of big vintage Alien pieces. Since then, I've been slowly picking up the stuff I'd sold off, and some others. I missed these sets when they came out, but am glad I found a deal on them. These really are the toys I wanted so desperately when I was a kid. I admire NECA's realistic sculpts and accessories, but when the kid inside of me thinks of "toys", he's thinking of these Kenner-style pieces. I really love the packaging, but I need to pick up a few of these to play around with as well.

Arrived in the mail today.  Immediately opened and placed with the vintage stuff. 

I bought the custom Slave Leia and the Custom Han Stormtrooper.  When it came to "official" Hasbro releases I made sure to acquire a Tarkin.  I have passed on the Mando figures and the Kenobi figures but I could not pass this up.  It fits seamlessly into the Kenner figures as if this was a final series produced in 1986.   The lightsaber is molded in the same size and texture as the vintage handheld sabers were.  Great figure and a keeper.

Stamped Brazil underneath.

The color tone seems different, but it isn't bright blue.  I'd say brighter blue than normal.  Wish  I could find my US version in the packed mess to compare.

Not scratched, just my bad attempt at cleaning.

As a kid my son's favorite thing (besides legos) was to take the small GI Joes apart and put them back together, sometimes mixing and matching pieces (luckily not his valuable ones).

Over the last year he has rekindled his love for "making figures" by adapting crappy figures into characters he likes. 

He just sent my photos of this Ashe figure from Evil Dead that he just made.  

I can't wait to see what he makes next.  I think it's awesome.

He does a lot of sculpting so he may have made the head or hair himself.

I just asked him what he did to make the Ashe figure and this is what he told me...

"The pelvis, head, and lower legs are casts from Gi joe figures.  The upper legs, torso, and arms are from a Lanard figure.  The chainsaw is 3D printed and even has a magnet in it to connect to the arm.  I sculpted the hair, and the belt/straps in the torso.  I also did some sculpting on the upper legs."

Thanks, yeah, I've only rarely found them in the wild before now, and usually just one or two and not ones I wanted. The store had a few dozen more, most of which were still in their boxes, but they were Spider-Man/Fantastic Four-related, so not what I was interested in. Sadly, most of the X-Men ones were boxless, and the White Queen is actually cracked mid-torso, but otherwise they're in good shape. Just gotta remember to, you know, not try to lick or ingest them...

Too cool. I have no talent for customs myself, but really love seeing creative stuff like this!

Update on the xenomorph project!its going slow,they give less parts at each weeks.anyway almost finished a tibia,still have to glue some part of it just waiting for other parts before doing it.began some of the ribcage parts,now there is a problem with it for me,seems all metal parts conectings have a easily discernable cracks ,might have to fill it,smooth it and paint it.will see later about that still work in progress, anyway here are the results so far

I know from previous posts that you've been working on this project for a while, but can you give a little background? I'm curious about how you are getting the parts. Is it like a subscription where you get bits and pieces each month? Regardless, it's fun watching it come together.

Its each week with a little magazine with info on the alien franchise and all.here are pics from this week magazine to give you an idea.its just a few pages each week.

You can also buy the official binders for the magazines but i dont,honestly i browse them and put them in the recycling bin afteri recieve them already heavilly creased so ...

Ya I noticed the condition. I thought maybe the way it was packaged, if it came with a new part.

I've noticed new mags at the LCS, but haven't witnessed people discussing or buying

Not really because of the parts(they are in little cardbord boxes will show à picture next week)i saw them open boxes of new magazine arrival and those alien magazine always arrived that way!

My father saw the publicity on tv, i tought buying it online but you pay for shipping so..i buy it at a magazine-cigar store.
