Though I'm not a modern fan, those NECA TMNT boxed figures are really nice.   I must resist.

I wish people sold figures more here.   Purchase a handful, but not enough.

I gave up looking after several tries and just paid $55 shipped for Transformers Cosmos. 

That was the one bugger I really wanted this year. 

Should be shipped tomorrow. 

Allowing Walmart to have certain characters is getting ridiculous.  I didn't bother to stop there and paying the inflated prices causes me to buy less.   okay then... let the others sit.

Went to a garage sale this weekend.  Picked up some smaller items.  

2nd Bigfoot in the past 6 months.  Pretty good shape, runs great.  No battery cover or key.

2 boxed MASK items are really nice.  Complete, great shape, figures with helmets, instructions, baggies, accessories, etc.

Biggest bummer is the guy sold a bunch of other MASK items from the same collection the week prior.

Awesome pick-ups for a garage sale! I got out of MASK a couple of years ago, but it’s always tempting to get back in, as it’s very cool stuff.

Whoever illustrated that figure did just a wonderful job of copying Greg Martin's style (he illustrated all of the TMNT vhs along with many other cool things).    The linework shading, ground, sunburst background, all pretty convincingly done.   (Greg passed away a number of years ago).

I honestly thought the same thing, not knowing the original artist for the promotional or items back then. I thought it might have been "left over" art from way back then or something

Wow, sizeable X-men haul. 

What's the deal with the bagged X-men in Christmas stockings?   Is that just for sounds/noises? 

I got a solid chuckle out of the company called Comic Images (Image Comics).   I'm going to start one called Comic Marvels. 

I really like that Jim Lee action figure case.   Definitely 80s-inspired with some cool art.  Not one I've seen in-person. 

Any chance the comic came with the board game?

Its definitely not actually his art, and I'd almost guarantee there are digital elements to this art, at least in the coloring, but whoever did it must have studied Martin's work quite closely. 

Here's an original I used to have as a comparison point with similar sunburst and ground effects.    This piece was gouache and airbrush where, as I said, I suspect the color work at a minimum on the Usagi is digital, but its an interesting comparison

So yeah, the BST thread asking for assistance with the NECA movie TMNT Michelangelo and Raphael 2pack was a complete dud. Not a single response, a first for me. I don't think they're ready for our plastic gods. One day they'll get the fever...

I don't collect sixth scale, but there are so few comic-based sixth scale figures that I take note when one gets released.  A company called Mondo is making sixth scale figures for the X-Men animated series, and yesterday they unveiled the full details for an upcoming Magneto release.  I'll probably end up caving and get this since Magneto is my favorite villain.

He looks great, but I'm skeptical of the articulation.  I've watched reviews for the Mondo animated series Wolverine, and the articulation on him isn't great.  No worse than the articulation on Hot Toys or Sideshow figures, but those have bad articulation compared to smaller-scaled figures so that's not saying much.  Hasbro did a bunch of comic-based 12-inch figures a few years ago that have GREAT articulation, so it's certainly possible in the scale.  The Wolverine Hasbro did in 12-inch scale is the best action figure I've ever seen that company make in ANY scale, and owning that is the main reason it was so easy to skip the Mondo figure.  But Magneto doesn't really need great articulation so I'm not sure it much matters here.  The accessories look great so I'm sure I'll be ordering this.
