Hate to see this thread on page four.

I like seeing house ads in comics EC did it the most but other publishers also used this marketing tool.

I found this in Tomb of Terror 16. Whats fun is if you have all the comics shown on the ad. So here we go.

I know, cover dated Nov-Dec 1954 and apparently toned down for the approaching CCA restrictions.

Always loved these two but they have been out of financial reach; however, I only just learned that the Mexican Edition of Witches Tales #25 includes a back cover that features the art from Black Cat #50...which means there might be an affordable option for me to get BOTH at the same time :D

I think it's ridiculous, but mycomicshop stated that they are pricing per directive from the consignor, however they are the ones assigning the grade.  It's a highly desirable book, but that price for that grade...Nawww.

Yes, I'm aware that the consignor selects their sale price. This isn't an indictment on MCS; I'm a big 'fan' of theirs.

For what it's worth--this consignor sells plenty of books like this and knows his market well. He sold another copy a few months ago for $435: Tomb of Terror #16 PR complete interior, full length spine split. The current consigned copy that you're discussing is $690 on eBay, $600 on MCS, and the consignor is accepting offers, so maybe a buyer could end up with it for less than $600. And I like the colors better on this one than the previous one.
