Happy to add this to the roster and finally be in the Planet 9+ club.

Lovely book :applause:

Always amazes me that there are books of this age still knocking about in such beautiful museum type condition.

Very interesting Planet 1-10 scarcity lists - keep 'em coming!

On that note, if anyone has a Planet #5, #4 or #10 for sale we should talk. I have had a difficult time finding an copy that I like of those issues especially. I do have a #2 but would love to upgrade it. :wishluck::foryou:

Absolutely. I can't wait for mmehdy's list. It will probably have 12 and 19 on it

I can't give an order, but I'd do a grouping.

Relatively easy to find:

1, 3, 4, 7, 9

More difficult:

8

Most difficult

2, 5, 6, 10 with a nod to 6 as the toughest.

As of 1/16, here are the numbers of each (unique) on the CGC census and raw in the HA archive

1 - 49

2 - 27

3 - 32

4 - 24

5 - 17

6 - 18

7 - 19

8 - 23

9 - 17

10 - 17

So this would suggest that 2 is less rare than thought and 7 & 9 are rarer than consensus. But there has to be some controlling for desirability, value, etc.

To give an idea of what happens with census data, here are most of the early FH titles arranged by cover date. You can see with most there is a normalization of the census (again, both CGC and raw HA) once you get beyond the first few issues. At that point, desirability and salability really control the data and it's hard to get a real grasp on how common something is or isn't.

Awesome. I have definitely enjoyed all those HG Firehair.

Recently, it finally hit me that in some artists' rendition of Firehair, the "model" was Maureen O'Hara. Not a bad model to draw from <3 Sorry if this was generally accepted. I'm slow ...

Compare that to the bottom left panel on this OA (hanging right above my computer screen)

Here's another photo from the same angle -

It is difficult to put in number order. Some of the numbers below are close in "rank" , but still miles apart. For example, issue 7 I have ranked at #6, and even though #5 is ranked just two away at 8, the realistic difficulty between the two is so much more than a couple digits. Therefore, I am going to put my list in a grouping similar to what buttock did. Space separates the group:

1. 3 easiest to locate

2. 1

3. 4

4. 2

5. 9

6. 7

(Lots of space)

7. 8

8. 5

(Some space but closer in difficulty)

9. 10

10. 6 hardest to locate

I love the facial expressions of all three on this book, and also her pose. Great Jungle that I had never focused on before. Of course, I love most work by Zolnerowich.

Really nice, I contemplated that book for a while. Zolnerowich is King.

I love the Firehair books, and especially in high grade they are gorgeous.

Finally picked this particular book up, and I'm really happy. I would love to see a high grade copy of this one ... Mr. Bedrock or Flex ?

I'm sure someone will blow this one away, but I like the colors on my copy.

Thanks to those who have responded, here's what we have so far...

Weighted list, fewer points means more common:

1. Planet 1 (5 pts)

2. Planet 3 (11 pts)

3. Planet 4 (15 pts)

4. Planet 8 (28 pts)

5. Planet 7 (30 pts)

6. Planet 9 (30 pts)

7. Planet 2 (31 pts)

8. Planet 6 (40 pts)

9. Planet 10 (41 pts)

10. Planet 5 (43 pts)

A limited but knowledgeable sample to be sure, the only real surprise (so far) to me is Planet 8 being perceived as more common than I had previously thought.

More lists welcome, all you Planet-oids out there please don't hesitate to post. :)
