Let the guy digest his hamburgers and beer, sheesh it was Memorial weekend. :makepoint:

For real. People get incredibly impatient.

Sure, it's great when someone can send books out same day you paid or the next day. But a lot of folks (myself included) have other things to do as well. My personal situation doesn't really allow me to make to the post office except for on weekends (which really limits it to one day). Occasionally, I can make it during a weekday (assuming I'm at the office and have time to take "lunch").

But things do happen too. People need to calm down if their book doesn't make it in 3 days. Give things a week or two.

I notice this a lot (and it drives me even more crazy) on other social media outlets with regards to grading books. People tracking their books every step of the way and if something misses by a day, they get their panties in a bunch. Grading takes time. Just send it off and wait. That's all you can do.

Merely thinking out loud here, and don't want to get flamed... But is it okay for a seller to demand immediate payment and yet send out the comic at their convenience? Should there be lightning shipment for lightning pay?

If it's in the terms of sale upfront and a buyer agrees to fast pay, slow ship them it's OK but personally, if someone expects quick pay without disclosing upfront I'd expect the seller to reciprocate and ship reasonably quickly as well.

I just mailed a couple boardies. Took me a week. I don't think any panties were twisted in the process.

Yep.

And I wasn't saying it's OK to do it whenever you feel like it. But, I think a week is reasonable. Buy on Monday, ship on Saturday. That's acceptable.

Buy on Thursday before a holiday weekend and ship the following weekend is acceptable as well.

Again, and we say it over and over and over, communication is the key. Even a quick "hey, something came up and I wasn't able to get your books out this weekend. I'll do what I can to get them out as soon as possible" would put most people at ease.

If it's a dealer such as yourself Roy,I would expect it quicker than an average collector who works 60 hours a week on a regular job.

Depends…

I just ran a sales thread in which I needed people to pay ASAP to help me cover a bill that was due in a few days. It did take me a few days to get all their stuff shipped out though.

In my case, I was limited by volume. I had about 25 sales that all needed to be wrapped and mailed while contending with everything else in a normal person's life. Some people did not get their stuff mailed out until 4-5 days after they paid. But I made clear the fact that the money was for bills and that I needed it ASAP.
