It would have been pretty funny if it was the same guy that pulled his PIF offering and blamed his wife.

Now he's posting in another thread about what a great book (with a $500+ asking price is) and that if he didn't have another copy he'd be all over it.

He left out the "with prior approval of all spousal supervisors" part.

List updated. And a 10-year board veteran no less

I combed the thread but didn't see anything obvious. Who was the 10 year board veteran that backed out of a deal?

Man....

lol

That is pathetic.

It's always the wife's fault.

Another valid reason illustrating why women need to be driven from the hobby.

I prefer annual telethons to raise funds for all the guys in need of cash to pay for an "Addadongtomy" procedure.

I only participate in those telethons when I am assured of "fair practices".

And free binkys.

Can anyone tell me whether non-comic items can be listed in Mixed?

Someone may have a bunch of the recalled swearing minion toys from McDonalds that they would like to offer to fellow boardies before selling them elsewhere...

Tell me if I'm in the wrong place for this...

I have seen that people use media mail to ship comics but my local post office told me that it is not allowed because they have advertisements inside of them. Can anybody help me out on this?

This is the stance taken by the post office.

You could try to tell them you are simply mailing books but if they open the package to inspect it they may send it back to you or with postage due to the recipient.

You could roll the dice to save money on shipping but there is a risk.

I have no idea what percentage of media mail gets checked.

Thanks Chaos

A very small amount of my media mail is opened on Long Island, less than one percent.

In Vegas, it's much higher, perhaps 15 percent. When I mailed stuff in Laughlin, I was told media mail should be brought in open, so they can check it before it gets shipped.

It's in the Fogel guide with a NM- value of $25.

Also found this with a quick Google search (although it's a #1 and not a #2)

There are also a few resident underground experts as well.

Comicwhiz is one of them (I can't remember the others). You might want to try sending them a PM or try the search function. Good luck.

Make sure they're actually recalled first, what I've read doesn't sound like it. You don't want another Star Wars #1 Hot Topic situation...
