You know, if you think about it Sauvik has probably drawn spider-man on as many covers and stories as any artist ever. He defined a decade of Web of Spider-man, and this is probably his best cover to have from that run. I don't know, I've seen crazy prices for Black suit 80s Spidey pages, not THAT shocking to see this piece above 7k....10k I don't know but I can see 7k pretty easy I think. If you collect iconic stuff by known guys working on signature books,  those items can set goofy prices when it all washes out.

Off the top of my head, Saviuk's  output on Spidey titles falls well short of Sal Buscema, Mark Bagley and Jim Mooney.

This is slightly off topic, but this is a wow piece over at Comic Connect.

I think, with this appearance, it might set the record for the modern piece of art auctioned/sold the most times publicly in the last 10 years.

I have to look but this makes either the 3rd or 4th time Rick in the hospital bed has been offered publicly.

The McFarlane Wolverine back cover has been around the block a few times and it is finishing on Clink tonight.  If I hadn't spent so much on art recently I would strongly consider taking a run.  Then again, when this happens you wonder why it gets passed around like a hot potato.

I'm going to guess that MakeMineMarvel on ebay holds the record.  On several pieces. lol

Sorry, I meant "legit" sales and auctions.

Wow!  Some major pre-auction price jumps on the McWolverine Splash, Byrne Action cover, and Perez FF page

My consignments have not jumped!

To the consignor for the mcWolverine, feel free to send a commission for helping cause the pre-auction price jump :p  I might be able to use it if my consignments don't move any higher before the auction closes!

What ones do you have up ?

and I have to sit on my hands until a little later in the alphabet to see how my bids hold up before getting on to any more

Adams JLA cover = $47K

Almost exactly where I thought it might end. Prime Adams-Giordano period (1971), great elements and execution. Would not have been shocked by $50k. Would have been more shocked if it finished under $40k.

Big Adams fan here, and never thought of this as a very memorable cover, so I think the seller did very well.  Probably a fair deal for the buyer too.  Everyone wins.
