Thats a futury elsword story where Batman is at the end of his career, i heard that is a pretty good story and i think that s because of the subject the art have to be a bit... hum... alternative (shrug)

Yup. His forced perspective was also starting to suffer badly at this stage, such as the arm on the female figure in the background.

It's Kevin O'Neill. He's not trying for realism, like many, many artists before him. Loved Marshal Law but if it's not your thing that's fine.  But don't say he shouldn't be a pro since he's been getting paid to work since at least the late seventies and is well regarded

Just because he's paid to suck and has sucked since the 70s doesn't mean he doesn't, in fact, suck.

That's terrible artwork no matter what way you slice it.

It's stylized.  Whether you like the style or not does not make it suck.  It's like saying Kirby sucked.  Or Sienkewicz sucked.  Or any number of artists that de-skill or stylize their work but have the chops to back it up. I certainly don't like it but it's obvious the dude knows how to illustrate.

Anyway it was an honest question but might have been a tangent. I haven't seen many collectors of him, maybe not a lot of his posts in the thread. Was just looking for a frame of reference since I got Moon Knight recently by him.

All I really "knew" of him was the new mutant issues and as a kid those weirded me outlol

The Moon Knight looks decent and I can see the New Mutants being appreciated. Just didn't know Bill's history. :)

Quite a well-executed cover, and quite sanitised compared to Jack Davis’s similar panel in EC’s “Foul Play” story.

I’m sure he polarises opinion, and different readers have different tolerance thresholds for his increasing level of stylisation.  I’m fairly similar to you, okay up until the end of his Moon Knight period.  Elektra Assassin and his Daredevil Marvel Graphic Novel were where it got a bit too much for me.

Appreciated! By and by, I saw when he had sketch opportunities within the past couple of years at cgc.

The ones obtained and posted on the boards to see echoed the same,  although some of the Electra were still nice and the ones mentioned ie Moon Knight would be a "go to" for being well done imo. I liked those the best  :)
