Yeah, but if we're gonna get lame-o villains like Carnage, use them to their full effect. Some beautiful and disturbing horror in a Venom + Carnage film would (at least somewhat) make up for how bad their characters are.

How many people saw Steppenwolf get decapitated and said, "yeah, being Rated-R was a good choice"? Too many for me to count. Deadpool needs the R-rating to be as stupidly funny as he is. Logan needed the R-rating to show how brutal his character is. Venom and Carnage need the R-rating to show the disconnect of being an alien symbiote.

Unfortunately when you see the billions being made by Disney's Marvel Studios, it is going to have an impact on other studios and their creative decisions.

So thank the fanatics that with everything MCU produces being 'the greatest' and 'most amazing' and 'everyone has to do it like Marvel'. This is what we get at times.
