Talking about the seeming "abundance" of Mask 1 out there, it looks like we have another copy available in this weekend's HA auction:  :gossip:

Sitting at just over $5K before it closes on Monday, it appears that it is running at less than half of what an equivalent CGC 3.5 graded copy managed to fetched a few short weeks ago as posted above, but probably should get there in the end. :popcorn:  :taptaptap:  :taptaptap:

I think what made this most recent sale noteworthy surrounds the issue of page quality.  The 3.5 @lou_finereferences was a white pager that sold for $12k back 3 weeks ago.  This most recent 3.5 sale a week ago contained cr-ow pages, yet it still gaveled for the same $12k the white pager got 3 weeks back. Accordingly, I find this sale to represent another leap forward on prices

I know you have to pick your poison on lower grade books, but the white pager also looked a lot nicer as the CR/OW copy has that piece missing at the bottom of the cover.

No, I hadn’t seen that. That’s a big book. That would be an $85k book under normal circumstances. Still, it’s crypto winter, so who knows the strength of the current market

Yeah, it will be interesting to see if the soft market keeps the Mask 1 out of the 6 figure range as it's tied with the Promise copy as top census.

And then there's this...which stands alone at the top of the heap. :cloud9:
