american pilots were supposedly up against an enemy with superior planes so I guess that means aliens since the USA has the most advanced aircraft on the planet.  Weird how the advanced aliens didnt even have nucular bombs tho.

I’ve been listening to a few fighter pilot podcasts the last couple of weeks. According to some of the pilots involved with making the film, they needed to use the f-18 so they could actually put actors in the backseat and get it on camera. But in a real-world scenario they would have used 5th gen aircraft.
