batman_fan
I collect models, primarily Aurora models. I post them over in the GA section but there really isn't a fixed place to see what everyone has so lets see if this can be the place.
Popular Post batman_fan
I should start by saying I buy complete kits still sealed. I finally finished my Aurora Batman set. I started buying back in the late 1980s but really only started to focus on completing in the last five years. Aurora monster square boxes was my jam as a young kid. I had all of them except the witch and King Kong. Now I just need the Forgotten Prisoner Just starting the long box monster kits. mysterio, PovertyRow, snitzer and 34 others 35

Popular Post Gaard
I remember back in the mid-70s, I sent in one of those ads from the backs of magazines where they'd send you a model every month (for a fee) until you cancelled. I remember the first model I received was some Lunar Landing thing...pretty cool. Then my mom got the first bill. She called them up and said something like, "He's only 12!", plus some more stuff that's not for the ears of children. Then she turned her attention towards me... The modeling bug bit me though, kinda. By the time I got to high school, I had a fairly large fleet of model rockets. Mostly Centuri, plus a few Estes. zosocane, kav, onlyweaknesskryptonite and 3 others 5

I did the model club too and that was my first kit as well. I had to cancel mine with a letter. onlyweaknesskryptonite and Gaard 1
MattTheDuck
I see this kind of model in general at estate/garage sales quite frequently. Most are planes, tanks, cars. Not sure how many are complete and/or sealed. If there's something specific you're looking for, PM me and I'll keep my eyes peeled as I cruise around. onlyweaknesskryptonite
Popular Post BitterOldMan
Nothing like a well built model! Not an original from Aurora, but the reissue from Moebius. jimjum12, Ken Aldred, djzombi and 16 others 18

ninanina
Had most of them, Frankenstein, Dracula, Superman, Superboy, Wolfman and at least 6 or 7 more. Built them, painted them and then spent an afternoon in the summer of '69 or thereabouts lining them up carefully one by one and destroying them with my BB gun. I was amazed the damage one could do to plastic with a BB. batman_fan, Unca Ben and Larryw7 1

As a kid, I was lucky to be able to buy a bottle or two of the testers paint so my models looked like crud but I had them on my desk shelves. My dad built me a desk with four shelves above it where I had my models. Edited October 10, 2021 by batman_fan onlyweaknesskryptonite

Not that I'd know anything about that batman_fan

Now somebody post a Betty Page or Rocketeer model.I was going to get the original BP back in 1989 but I was going through the big D and moving at the time I never got a chance to complete the deal with the shop before the move. onlyweaknesskryptonite
