It also amazes me with the frequency that these are put out, or at the very least, the amount that shipments get in and are put out on the rack. I've only now really seen that stores, other than the target and usual etc, carrying them, and that they don't "look to sell that much" compared with the amount yours seem to restock The mixes are realeased about once a month. Boxes A-Q with no I box. If you see a box on a cart, you can usually check the letter code on the side of the box. Walmart and Target get them first and they trickle into the grocery stores a little later it sometimes a lot later. You go to websites that do “un-boxing” videos to see what is coming out in the future. HWs are VERY popular bought and collected by all ages and sexes. Especially in my area. There is rarely a time at say a Target when someone isn’t picking at a rack. The best and most popular ones are gone as soon as they hit the rack. I actually only hit 4 local stores. 2 Target and 2 Ralph’s (Kroger) in my area. Based on experience and luck as well as chatting up employees, I have figured out stocking times and general stocking days. Once a store hits, it is generally a week or so until they hit again. But not always. There is a small Target very close to my house that sometimes gets a case several Fridays in a row. I just go around 5:00 when they are putting them on the carts. Last Friday night, I scored a new J mix box (the one I just posted). I went last night and amazingly, they had another this time K box! The girl opened it and handed it to me. I went around the back of the isle and quickly picked out what I wanted, put what I didn’t on the rack and took off before another “hunter” showed up. Always a rush to find that un-touched box on a cart! ADAMANTIUM

BitterOldMan
Not a Hot Wheel, but a custom built Greenlight CHP Polar Bear Slicktop (white without light bar) with working lights. Very impressive build in 1/64. Somebody else built this. Edited July 20, 2023 by BitterOldMan Raze and Robot Man

Robot Man
The latest “hot” Hot Wheels car. The Barbie 1956 Corvette. These are snapped up as quick as they are hung on the pegs. I finally lucked into one. This has an excellent upside. Barbie collectors want this one bad and I see this to always continue. Buy a few and put them away…

Unless any have red line tires. Look up the Mail truck and Poison Pinto on the bay. Maybe a little something. The rest are probably dollar cars if nice paint. These show up regularly at garage sales and flea markets and pretty much sit. Sorry… Azkaban

I did buy comics off the rack and kept it to myself. I have had quite a few of these over the years in my junking travels but flipped them for a profit. I primarily buy them for my adult daughter. Being a collector, I’ve “learned the ropes”. I know the good ones. I only keep a few here and there for myself. I mainly enjoy the “thrill of the hunt”. But it has gotton increasingly aggravating to have to do with the resellers who always clean out the rack when new ones come out. I find it a bit funny when someone tells me that these are “worth money” They have no idea they are talking to an advanced GA comic collector. Robot Man
Hit my local grocery store today. New load of an older case. Just put out! Got a few cars including a few cool Toyota THs. And there it was, the beautiful purple Mustang Super Treasure Hunt car! Put it in my pile. Then another local guy turned up late. I see him often and we are always friendly. While I was looking on the rack, he snuck the Super out of my pile and left while I was still looking. I had even offered him one of the regular TH cars. I am beyond pizzed! He had better hope we don’t meet eye to eye again. Unbelievable! ADAMANTIUM and Artifiction 1
musicmeta
Is the Sky Show Fleetside hot wheel car still worth some money....like around $400-$500 dollars if MIB. I "think" they were sold only at Phillip 66 gas stations (Is this correct?). There are so many hot wheel cars now. It would take a fortune to collect them all. I don’t really keep up with the “market”. They are VERY popular around here. Being a GA comic collector, I kind of laugh a bit at those who love to say how much HWs are worth. Do a google search or check the Bay for a value check. musicmeta
