Not seen it listed yet, but this is 100% fake on eBay.  Tells you to go to to Rarecomiccollectors.com has a full website that is automated to look active.  Comic shown is from Heritage auction that ended 2/28/2021. I have reported it. There are multiple other comics likely also swiped from Heritage on that website.

Do you think this is the same seller, re-branding himself after Ebay shuts him down? I've seen these listings for over a year (and I think I've heard people say they've been around longer) - and it's always the same. Trying to get people to go through to the website and nail them there.

It must work on some level, because it continues on.

The website looks similar to those sites.  Likely just re-skinning it and doing it again.

I've seen a similar bunch of posts on eBay with AF 15 and directing you to to go another website but looked like a legit seller got hacked. it was reported to eBay...

I believe the same scammer occasionally posts a bogus listing for Punch Comics 12, which includes a photo directing you to a website. I’ve reported him several times, and the listings always disappear, only to pop up again under some other highjacked account.

Not sure how eBay could justify leaving this up at all. It violates their policy of advertising for sals off of their platform.  Plus, I am sure it was reported as fraudulent multiple times.

 

Next, just to people that did bid on this.  Yes, it was clearly fraud to members here, but did the people even read the description befor they offered up 11K?  It clearly said this listing is not for sale here, but on our website.   They even said read the description carefully.  The clear reason to redirect is the Buyer's will ultimately be protected by eBay's buyer protection policy (I hope), and the lister is attempting to circumvent that by having you buy it on an unprotected site.

It's fake.  The photos shown are taken from old Heritage auctions.  The site is the redirect from the fake eBay listing we have been discussing.

 

Also, if you watch the supposed people looking at notices.  The numbers looking are way to high for a comic site especially an unknown one. Plus, they actually cycle through in a pre-programmed fashion after about 20 books. Not to mention, many of the listed prices are in the too good to be true catagory.

Ok, thanks. Have never seen the site before. Was tempted on an early silver spidey that I've wanted for my pc, but was suspicious that the price is about 1/4 of fmv.
