I am absolutely NOT saying that I will not appreciate this gift when I open it, nor that I am not very much looking forward to seeing what’s inside — but all I’m saying is that I got so much enjoyment from merely unpacking the gift and the contents of the box, that it alone feels like a present already! Awesome! Yeah, I’m glad you opened the first part, it was pretty fun to make this package, I’m excited for you to crack the seal on the evidence tape!

There’s no reveal thread yet (right? Or did I just totally miss it?), but after coming back from a not-super-fun long weekend trip, I decided to open mine up yesterday for Hanukkah. Thanks to the awesome @ADAMANTIUM for the great X-related grab bag! Gotta love a good Pressman! (One day, I’m going to find some good-looking way to display these games along with these variants, haha.)

Hopefully the contents of the package is more exciting to you than the "card".  My handwriting is atrocious.

I forgot to include a card. This was actually the first time I've shipped any comics so I got all caught up in and worried about packaging. Looks like I successfully did the job so I might need to start selling here on the boards.

I lieu of a card let me say a thing or two about John.

@ADAMANTIUMis a great boardie. He's entertaining and informative and sometimes befuddling. A great combination!  

He's also the first one who'll say "great job" and give a post a like if someone decides to show off a new addition to their collection. And I hope the Comic Book Meme thread he started lasts as long as these forums.

John's also great because he sold me this book:

About a year ago this issue was amongst a few other comics in a pic he took of his display room. Curious about the store stamp I zoomed in on the pic and saw it was from an old store in Las Cruces, NM. I lived there from age 10 through college and it was there I started my comic book collecting hobby. 

The more I looked at the book the more I wanted it. It was unique and I could spend the rest of my hobby life looking for a book with a store stamp like this and not find it. So I reached out to John.

Now I've posted a lot of pics of books in my collection. No one has ever reached out to ask me for one. I'm not sure how I'd feel if they did.  But John quickly and graciously replied to me and sold it to me at his cost and had it in the mail all in one day.

That X-Men isn't the best comic in my collection. It isn't my favorite. But it has a deep meaning for me and will be with me after 99% of all my other books are in someone else's hands.
