Godzilla #21 page #3 Original Art. Pencils by Herb Trimpe & Inks by Dan Green. 

A shrunken Godzilla is temporarily incapacitated by Mr. Fantastic after taking on some sharks in a tank. The Thing is left fighting the sharks after throwing Godzilla from the tank. The next plan is to take Godzilla to the Baxter Building before he gets bigger. 

This piece is my 1st Godzilla OA. It is an awesome accomplishment personally from the series that got me into comic collecting as a child. Still have my original copy of this book picked up from the newsstand back in 1979, as shown in the 2nd picture.

Daredevil #160 Pg. 6 Color Guide.

An early Daredevil "Miller run" color guide page featuring an action packed fight finale between the Black Widow & Bullseye who comes out victorious and uses his new captive to set a trap for DD.

*The use of a small piece of clear overlay & paint for the red bullseye on the bottom right is a really cool production feature.

My only OA pick up this year at SDCC. 

Love me some Jack Kirby and of course my favorite all time western title, Boys' Ranch. As a side note, this is from issue # 6 which has less Kirby artwork than prior issues. This is the title page from the last story in the issue, and Jack only did this page of the story "Happy Boy" Carries the Ball!

I'm glad it found its way to my collection.

Godzilla #24 Page 22  - (1979)

Final issue in a great series with so much nostalgia for me. The 1st panel in this page is where Godzilla finally ceases his rampage which started back in issue #1. A small panel for a pretty significant part of the entire story imo. The middle panels shows Godzilla's connection with the scientist's grandson. The final 3 panels of this page contains an assembly of the majority of super heroes from the series (SHIELD, FF4 & Avengers).

Also pictured is my original copy bought off the newsstand back in '79 and the interior page as printed within.

One of the craziest pickups ever.

I went to comic art con yesterday, was great, but couldn't find something to pick up.  Then my friend drags me to this antique mall saying there's cool stuff all over the place. Walk in and 10 minutes into this place that can only be described as the place where they hid the arc of the covenant, but everything is in a display case, I look down and this was sitting against the wall, framed, calling out for a new home!

Such a great sweet spot, and a pretty memorable page for me.  From the Spider-Man Clone saga, with the Jackal having his plans come into place, him transforming and Peter sitting in front of the clone chamber broken!

9 years ago during a very bleak professional and personal time in my life, over the course of 6 months I read Digital scanned copies of the entire "Sugar & Spike" series.

Timeless, Funny, and Uplifting material that hearkens to simpler times even if in reality those times never actually existed.

While reading the series I took notes on which pages I'd like to have in case the situation ever present itself. It finally did recently when 1 of them popped up at Hakes.

With art in hand you can really see ALL of Mayer's Pencils, for me at least this is a true presentation piece.  For those familiar with my CAF Gallery, there is a tie-in; Mayer co-created the Justice Society of America

Has nearly everything I could ever want in a Sugar (Plum) & Spike page expect for the parents only hearing "GLX" or "SPTZL" or "GLAAH"

P.S. early 1958 when the page was published was a long time before I was born.

I’ve added some cool silver surfer pages over the past year + but this one I really like. 
im a huge Byrne fan and he did so little surfer that was happy to add this to the collection. Great palmer overlay as well!
